Speaking to a former AFL assistant coach over the weekend from a well ran club. Rates Vickery reasonably highly, says hes an absolute **** of a bloke but in the right system could and will be a very handy addition to wherever he goes as hes got the skills to succeed. Basically Ruck/Forwards that are 200cm are bloody hard to find and therefore rated extremely highly in AFL clubs.

Can only hope that the Dawks rate him the same way and therefore pay up either $$$ or Picks

If he rates Vickery and all that do can stay where they are. They have NFI. I will hang my hat on this. If the dawks do the deal and deem him required, it will go hand in hand with their dive down into mediocrity and their 2 or 3 decades in the wilderness. Ty will be racking up the stats like he did with us and get a game because he averages, 0.987 goals a game and is 200cm tall and they dont grow on trees and all that shit that gets Tys and his like a career in footy.

If we can somehow get Prestia and draft Will Brodie at 6 whilst offloading Conca, Lennon, vickery and one of Edwards/Ellis I will be over the moon.

Doesn't take long to Turn something ugly around. If we are aggressive like the dogs, it can happen quickly. Carlton, st kilda and now north are jumping the gun. Will be interesting if we take the Richmond conservative approach or be bold like we did when we are at our most ruthless and successful. Paves for an entertaining off season!

Vbs signed the deal when he was entrenched as captain in our best 22. He was on around 500k. Crazy i know .. Henderson would be on about 350-400. Thats 850-900 and add thompsons reduction of $$ in his new idiotic 1 year deal and that makes a million.

How are you paying Sloane, Talia, Betts, Walker, Jenkins, Jacobs etc. plus you were going to match Dangerfield.... Laird, Lever and a bunch of others will want new contracts as well.

This has been the course of events out of the media recently;
First the Deledio rumours before the end of the home and away season.
Moved on to Jack, which led to Jack rubbishing the reports. Those reports stuck around for a little while, but then moved back to Deledio, which led to Deledio once again saying he is going nowhere.
Cotchin was mentioned as potential trade bait, but that was just a flash in the pan.
Now they have moved onto Dusty.

Shooting blindly hoping to hit something eventually.
Dusty isn't going anywhere.
Neither is Jack.
Nor Lids.
It's getting so annoying.

Agree 100% , its all just media trying to force players out just for a big story, its pretty disgusting. They see a team on the rebuild target their best player and go "PLAYER looks to be traded" They did it with north with todd goldstein for **** sake. Bunch of campaigners

Try telling that to a Hawks fan... or for that matter a lot of people on here.

Below average KPF/Rucks go for picks in the 20-30's and have been for a while. They are a highly values commodity in AFL.

We should not be worried about Dusty at all... Before season ended apparently Rance wanted out then they moved onto Jack that Richmond would trade him next was Lids now we are on Dusty so according to that Cotch is being traded next week brace urselves.

It's pretty naive not to be worried mate. Given where the club is at, the type of Manager Dusty has...and the mammoth offers that will be coming his way.
