I'm with you. I think we need a trade period like Geelong's last year. Trade our first. Trade next years first. Trade whatever players want out. Get some talent in and lets have a renewed push next year. Geelong finished outside the 8 last year and finished 2nd this year after the H&A season.

Our players are still at their peak in terms of age and ability and if we get similar talent by trading (like Prestia and Mitchell) then we can bounce back.

Exactly Mate. Makes me laugh how there are so many posters on here claiming to know what the clubs doing. If we truly leak information like that, whoever is leaking it should be sacked asap.
Who knows, maybe some of these posters do have info but most of it is crap imo, or being presented as inside info after guessing stuff based on media articles, many of which are also crap.
Every off season is the same. I'm as hungry as anyone else for info regarding what RFC are doing but I'm past taking anything on here as gospel based on some of the rubbish posted in past years.
I'd be really surprised if any poster truly had inside info. All these "I have heard ......." posts need to be taken with a grain of salt.

My theory is that we forcing the price up that the Hawks will have to pay for Mitchell, as pay back for the piss poor FA compensation we are looking at getting for Vickery if ends up there.

Doesn't matter - Tiges have to start landing some big trades. There's a difference between trying and not trying - they have a warchest, have built space in the cap so they need to go for it. We will see.
