The writing was on the wall at the end of 2016 for Goldie - according to reports we had a first round offer for him from West Coast - that deal should have been done - Goldie should have been convinced to leave and we now would have had 12 months experience into another promising kid. People on this board were arguing heavily for it.Why would we have given up Goldstein when he was one of our best players? And didn't want to leave? Which club does that for unpredictable draft picks.
Opportunities need to be taken - that wasn't - and having 3 mature ruckman on the list is just one of the imbalances we are dealing with.
