The Lexus centre that Collingwood use is at Olympic park and shares facilities with a whole lot of elite sports so have Victorian and Federal government money spent on it. They have everything.
It's the old Olympic pool, they grabbed that and Olympic park athletics track next door as well absolutely scandalous.

How the hell can you compete with that.

What gets me with the saints is they never play the long game, that's how we ended up at Seaford.

If we want control of a failing old bowling club on south road I suggest a bit of good old branch stacking, all of a sudden they have 500 new members and the new committee is perfectly happy with a move to another part of the Moorabbin site.

Well did we forget the pool or did we not have the funds left and have to jettison a pool?

Probably an important point to figure out before we slam the club. One makes us seem incompetent, the other is just harsh reality of being a poor club.
We don't need it, a pool like that is a money pit.

The saints have the choice of GSAC and MSAC just for starters.

So.....
Just exactly what is X factor?
It's when a player has exactly no idea what he's doing, does it at maximum pace, and it just all seems to work out.

so so so want, but think he'll be gone

dont get the cerra hype tbh think he slides
“Despite missing the early part of the National Under 18 Championships with a quad injury, he was able to push his case for selection for the final two Victorian games, averaging 21 disposals with a kicking efficiency of 100 per cent.”

Hey-yo!

And Cerra is a gun, don’t worry about that.

I am confused if we are going after a blue chip consistently excellent performer such as Lenny Hayes or a Mercurial type such as Stephen Milne.

Which one best describes the current version of Josh Kelly (because I suppose that is what we were looking for before) which which draftee best encapsulates those desired qualities?

Tim Kelly a chance?

Think Kelly might be a risk, because having a young family the go back home factor could come a factor. Young mothers usually like being close to their own mother. So no for me.

i no longer trust kicking efficiency stats. they're officially just a number

There was a game last season when Robbo I think it was went at "100%" DE, despite the fact he did one long kick into our F50 that was marked by someone from the other team with no-one from our side anywhere near them!

Then there was a game when Seb did 8 ineffective kicks in a row, despite two of them at least being lace-out short passes to someone on the lead who had the ball spoiled away from them right in front of their eyes.

There is something wrong with all that fo sho!

yeap, something is broken with the stat. its just so blatantly wrong and up to interpretation so much. i'm sure i could have pointed out another half dozen to a dozen miss kicks from that one game, let alone the rest

i officially no longer trust it. good thing is with clubs getting coded vision, they'll know

Looking at it - if LDU Dow and Rayner go in the first 3 picks and North do get Stephenson it is likely Freo will take Cerra. Collingwood go Naughton or Coffield which means Brayshaw comes to us plus one other - Murphy, Bonar, Clark possibly Coffield if the Pies dont pounce.

Would be interesting if Freo take Naughton and Collingwood Coffield as that means Cerra and Brayshaw would be likely coming to us and that would be a great result. Unlikely as all reports are that Freo are going two mids

my gut feel is that i reckon freo will be all over coffield, he's exactly what they need at pick 5

Probably setting myself up to be shot down here, but who'd look at drafting Hartung at 45? Perhaps feels a bit of a waste when you consider we could've traded down to a later pick and still probably get him, or even better we could've not signed up wright/minch/etc and then just signed him as a DFA.. But it is what it is and that's the situation we're in, and I know personally I'd be a lot more excited about getting hartung then an 18 year old kid at 45...
