My summary of Port's trading thus far

Impey out -> Good
Rocky in -> Good
Motlop in -> Upgrade on Impey, but not my type of player
imo
Trengove out -> Loss.
Watts??? -> Would be good, adds to Port's fwd structure and brings needed foot skills.

You don't pay a first round draft pick for a 29yr old rebounding half back flanker which is what you're wanting to bring Gibbs in for.

Also Smith had a penetrating kick and good disposal efficiency, both of which Gibbs lack.

You're living in a fantasy land.

Are you legally blind?

Because the Bryce Gibbs that I've watched had a massively penetrating kick, and is a good field kick around the ground.

It's the pace and break need speed he doesn't have which would be my only concern at HB.

Port are doing well. I reckon they'll get within 10 goals of us when next we play.

But didnt win one. Losing 3 best 22 players and no one in will cost us. If anything we needed to add to the side to continue to dominate.
Obviously the club has a plan.

Maybe they think Keath/Doedee can replace Lever adequately. That leaves 2 spots. Had a play for Motlop for Cameron. That fell through, but they’d have a backup plan.

I agree that losing 3 spots, we need some ins. All I’m saying is they are working on it, they’re not twiddling their thumbs.

So anyone who sees it as you have is eating their own.

We share a view and then have 20 fairy godmothers defend the club.

Maybe, maybe not. But facts are to date we have failed to bring anyone in over the past two trade periods.

Smith averages 77% DE and 493m gained. Gibbs is 69%DE and 367m gained.

I was commenting on the shitfights that have started in here since Motlop chose Port.

It’s embarrassing. There’s still a week to go ffs.

Which have resulted from those saying we needed him having to explain their position to those who reckon we are awesome and can win the flag losing players.

I am in no way a blind AFC defender. I’m a realist.

Do you think the club is not trying to bring someone in this trade period?

Would you not rather get games into Gallucci or Milera, than bring in a still inconsistent player on a big wage like Motlop? Yes Motlop played a couple of good finals, but his year and career has been unbelievably inconsistent, with minimal tackling pressure.

Cameron was on the verge of being dropped and the entire board was going to see him off, but one good prelim changes that?

It is time to blood some talented youngsters in their 2nd and 3rd years. It may test us, but organic growth does happen, it got us to a flag this year and there is still room for improvement.

Not on there own but the combination of the players around yes they will.
Lever would be the easy one to replace for the Crows. who have been shown up at times going too tall and slow in defense?
Doedee will improve the defense thru Pace. He will offer similar intercept capability And is a better One on One player. That leaves only one slow player in the defensive setup. Also there is Keath and possibly Cheney
Cameron, his output could be easily matched with Gallucci. may not get 5 goals in one Final but his defensive pressure would be equal. Add to that improvement thru Milera. And I would not rule out Jarman, Signorella or Davis.
Smith hard to replace, but the way the Crows play Hampton would fit in nicely, allowing Seedsman to play wing There is also MacKay, Douglas,
Would love to see Hampton head back there and sweep. **** it, let's go all in and give him #23, see if we can't squeeze some juice out of it!

OR

Impey - Failed high draft pick leaves. Oooops!
Rockliff - 12 months ago NO-ONE wanted him. Could have had him for a packet of chips but absolutely no-one was interested. Today he's on mega dollars. Rocky and Dixon's off field relationship should be fun...
Motlop - saved his career with 2 finals performances. Rest of the year was atrocious. 4 year deal. Will be good in 2018, fat and lazy from then on. Might be good at the very end of 2021 if looking for another contract.
Trengove - heart and soul (as proclaimed regularly by PAFC) of the club gone. Big loss.
Watts - Will be a really good outside flanker in their SANFL team. Has been pathetic for 4 years. Don't forget that!

Lots of money being spent on some very questionable talent. Massive roll of the dice by PAFC. If it falls apart, look for Kern to jump ship really quickly.

a few positives at least today with the answer for motlop & the interest for gibbs surfacing! also charlie looks all set to leave

think we are playing games with the media
