Sure in a post 20% cap increase world lever will get 700kish. My figures are based on pre cap increase values.
In a post cap increase world adding citca 20% to levers value is matched by a circa 20% increase in our cap space.
They basically cancel eachother out, doesn't change the fact that getting lever wouldn't stop us getting dusty

So now we are getting one mid and Lever so if we wanted 2 mids getting Lever is costing us a mid. And the increase of 2 million isn't cancelled out because not every player will get the 20% increase. Maybe only half of them. Still say no club in history has spent 2 top 10 picks on tall backs. We may be the first. And to the person who said Lever would have been handy on Stringer well Kelly would have been handy in the midfield as well as Martin.

What did i miss ?
We will trade out at least one fringe best 22 player this year so that will give us even more cap. Probably that player will be looking around now at other clubs where there'll be more senior opportunities. We will hold the cards with this player though and will only trade if the deal is an attractive one.
Roo and Joey will be offered discounted one year deals.
Once the numbers are crunched we could fit in a couple of very nice players if we had the opportunity. The $1.6M the media reporting we can spend is a little on the low side. But...if there's nothing to spend it on this year we just pay forward some money to our kids and go again next year.
But with our money and draft picks this year I'd be stunned if we didn't sign one A Grade mid from another club.

Don't need another Ruck we have Longer and Hickey, think Hickey in the forward pocket with Paddy then he can give Longer rest when needed

Good idea. Still need another tall forward. I would be chasing Hawkins. Would add pace with Paddy in the side. Imagine the marking ability with Hickey, Paddy, Hawkins, Membery, Bruce and Roo next season.
