If Lonie would do that he'd be delisted very quickly,

Lonie just doesn't have that goal sense to stick them through like Milney. You highlighted it perfectly, he looks to create cause he's a midfielder at heart and being a crumber isn't natural to him. Whether he can learn I'm not sure.

Also his composure in front of goal so far is poor so him taking wild snaps would be frustrating.

It's impossible to get another little campaigner like Milney who would take a mark and kick goals plus be a pest and eat crumbs. Lonie unfortunately doesn't have the same instincts as the great man

Disagree and I know this first hand. His instructions are to defend but also learn how to switch to attack.

He is doing what is asked, just not executing due to inexperience.

Also needs to add some muscle to help him in the contest.

Even if we bring someone in to play that role, I doubt he gets cut because there is too much natural talent to work with.

Why would we bring in Lever to trade out Roberton? They're basically the same player so we'd suffer a massive net loss paying overs for Lever and taking unders for Robbo. Seems pointless to me...

I'm tired of the endless Kelly speculation, and there's a reality that these players are out of contract and have competing contracts in front of them, there id no chance that if Lever comes that it doesn't affect someone on the list.

Makes Pittard look pretty tempting too, his kicking is elite and he's a FA. He plays back but he could easily move to a wing or outside mid role.

Yeah last time I heard three clubs had public interest in him, Pies, Dogs and Melbourne. I think we have decided we should get him on the forum, I haven't heard anything out of the club so far. We seem to be a bit stealthier this year though.

If we don't make finals, we could potentially trade our two firsts(7+9?) to Brisbane for pick 1 and possibly a second or third. If they finish last but the idea still stands either way.

Gives them the chance to take two really good kids and we could get the built star in Rayner.

They're either category B rookies or international rookies. Not on our senior list. We can cut them at any point - but no reason until someone to replace them. No taking anyone's spot and not costing anything within the cap.

From what I understand the 2x Kiwis and 1x Irish boy are category B rookies.

I think we had to make 1x Irish boy a full rookie.

I think the Italian Slippery Mountain Goat is the only one who would be out of contract. Others still have 1 year. Anyway, the Irish boys are doing well at Sandy and I wouldn't expect them to be considered for delisting whilst under contract

Thats rumour from about 2 weeks ago.
Same bloke seems to think our 1st pick 2018 could be used this trade period as well.
