I take that 2nd paragraph as a generalisation about "established talent". He didn't confirm or deny that we're into Dusty.

Yes to Dusty? Excellent for on-field but the media will brutalise us with any indiscretions he has.

Have any of you ever seen him at kids footy clinics? He doesn't do autographs, he doesn't smile or interact, he stays on his phone most the time. I would be happy to have him the but the club have to be smart because he is not a personable guy. Richmond supporters (kids) told me themselves they hope he leaves and turned on him after he gave them donuts at a recent footy clinic.

Personally I don't care what he does, just don't send him out to do the whole kids stuff... I just know that this doesn't get covered much now that he is at Richmond but you can bet your ass that it will be all over the radios and papers if he comes to the red, white and black.

Like you said it could all be smoke and mirrors, so we could very easily not be into Dusty, but by not denying it he could be deliberately trying to make certain others think that we are, or may be.

If that's the goal, it's a perfect way to go about it, because you haven't had to lie to do it.

I was thinking he's a young guy making the most of it , and he can't choose his family, but then he hits the media with "My dad should be allowed back into the country because he's just another member of a club where they enjoy riding motorcycles "

Let's all take a step back here, I don't know squat about dusty Martin except for what's on public record.

I couldn't give a rats about how many Tatts he has or where, nor have I heard about any connection with elicit drug use which going on society is rampant anyway.

I know he takes a lot of work to manage, I know he was involved in a nasty incident which I believe cost the Tigers a shit load of bad press and a sponsor.

I know he made imho some stupid remarks about his fathers associations.

I know at the saints those actions would have resulted in twice the negative coverage they recieved.

That is enough for me to look elsewhere at the price dusty would command.

Dont let the media paint the picture of this bloke . Constantly tested and has passed everything the AFL and club have requested.
He is pretty quiet and very untrusting of the media for good reason . Which ever club he decides to play for would not be disappointed with his work ethic. He is also very generous with his time and very approachable to fans .
