Are henderson and impey playing down back for you guys? Looks like you are missing a defender even with burton named down back. Maybe gunston will go back?
If Gunston goes back we are in trouble

Those two tend to be switch hitting in there and a bit upfield
Think you’ll find Burgoyne plays down back a lot with stints in midfield

That’s not how footy works. Other teams like the GWS have more talent than Richmond but what have they achieved? Other factors come into play like injuries which Lynch has had and Richmond as a team haven’t yet!! Lynch needs to play extremely well to make the Tigers stronger because their recent success has been built around a small forward line putting enormous pressure on the opposition. Lynch coming in on a contract just under a million a year means the salary cap squeeze will come quickly and we have seen how devisive that has been for Sydney with Buddy and to a lesser extent Tippett. Anyway quietly confident about tomorrow night and what lies ahead for us in terms of end of season additions at the end of both this year and next.

I do agree they have the most talented list in the competition, I think what's held them back is an inept coach and having a shocking medical team.

We’ve had a few weeks to plan for this so I’m pretty sure there are plans in place for change if it’s wet and greasy as it appears it will be

We actually play pretty well in those type of conditions too despite a dry weather game plan
More then likely takes the Tigers across the ground leg speed advantage from them too

Doesn’t favour either side imo

My theory...
if we’re going in with a tall forward line on a wet night I am putting this in the genius class once again from Clarko.
He actually said that they set up from marks from defensive 50 & capitalise on turnovers from the same position.
A tall & more competitive forward line takes away the marking attacking game style from the Tigers.... first point of game plan nullified.
We won’t be going long bombs as our usual mo as we have progressed from that AND it’s september football but we have to set up for wet weather bombs from congestion through the midfield... again we take out the marking capabilities by being taller.
We have a comparable forward line & or defence stacks up against anyone & if we are marking it/intercepting we have their smalls covered as well. Second major Tigers asset controlled.
This will be a midfield battle, make no mistake. Cegs & BB are the key; we are compatible on the ground.
This will be an awesome contest & I recon Clarko will finally show his Richmond trump card & out coach Hardwick.

Heading into work now . Have an all day presentation so won’t get out until 5 , home around 6.30.

Not much time to think about the game bar the drive home . Might not be a bad thing !
