Always feel like i'm watching footy back in the 90's here at princes. Pumping vibe though and decent crowd considering the atrocious weatger.

Anderson robbed (should have been in ahead of Bates, tbh)
I thought Ali should have been in ahead of Daisy Pearce as well, who they made vice captain. Too much goes on reputation rather than form. At least Woosha and Lutkins made it for the first time... and there were only 9 repeats... ie 12 new players.

She didn't even make the QWAFL team of the year last year playing just as well. It seems she's invisible
I think they stopped trying when they started naming leagues after balls from Quidditch.

Anyone dare to comment on what the standard is going to be like? Dare I say the talent was already spread thin.
Agree, while there is a sprinkling of good talent/skills among the current players the overall standard is ordinary IMO although you wouldn't expect it to be ultra high at this stage, the AFLW is still in the very early stages of development, skills and depth of talent will improve steadily over the ensuing years. I think it improved from year 1 to year 2.

They have added new teams too early IMO, talent dilution is inevitable.

Is she a QLDer or had come up from Melbourne to play for Brisbane?

Big loss

Ashmore is a Victorian, originally from Ballarat and played for Melbourne Uni (who have ties with North) for years in the VWFL/VFLW.

Also hearing that Nicole Hildebrand will also head back to Victoria.

There's also a star born and raised Queenslander that could be heading South. I'm not in a position to mention the name yet (was given to me in confidence) but I believe the possible move is due to personal reasons rather than a poaching by any specific club.

Ah ok that makes a bit of sense - North have done well if this is true when you add Kearney to the mix

Would be a shame after Tayla already left..

Have the Lions been in Aasta O'Connor's ear about going home?
