I think Woosh will stay, she has been fairly vocal on how living in Qld has been good for her. She lives up there full time whilst Ashmore splits time back in Vic as well.

Christ north are doing a job on us ! Can understand Gibson but the others ? Are we not paying enough $$$ or are the girls unhappy ! You would doubt it two grand finals and a respected coach.

Gibson a huge loss, really rated her hardness, added something different that's not easy to replace. Though if she's pregnant she might not get up for next season anyway. That's 3 to North now, the limit is 4. Hope that's it.

On another note, one anomaly of the comp which is disappointing I think is that there is not one senior AFLW coach that is female.

Is the rule that we can only lose 4 to expansion clubs in total or 4 to each expansion club (i.e. 8 in total)?

Apart from $$, you have to wonder what the carrot could be for Stanton and Randall. Both local product, studying and working in QLD.

Each expansion club can take up to 4 players from any other team already in the comp.
So we could possibly lose 8 players.
Plus others through the upcoming trade period.

I think it can be more than 4 if both clubs and the AFL agree on it

I actually think it's 4 in total, however I am not sure if Tasmanians going to North count in the 4.

No doubt new teams can probably sign them on better money to help lure players away. Otherwise we are one of the top performing teams in the comp, we cant do much else to keep players.

As has always been the case, QLD teams need QLD talent to survive.

Didn't stop Randall from being lured away to the bright lights of Melbourne, sadly in the AFL/AFLW sphere on balance we will lose out. Randall has been the most disappointing 'out' so far.....massive loss.

Losing our ruck, one of the back up rucks (Gibson), it leaves Sab and young Jesse Keeffe as the remaining ruck options.

This is such a borked way of introducing more teams. Surely this is clear indication that the talent pool is not deep enough yet to warrant expansion?
