The problem with trading Steven is this:

- getting just a draft pick entrenches another season (or more) where we don't have the cattle, perhaps entrenching poor performance for an unknown quantity
- getting a player is no good unless the player can perform under our conditions. Geelong strike me as a team full of players who can play well on a good team, but not so much on a building team. That's why I wouldn't entertain Parfitt - he ain't the cake, he's the icing, and we need cake. Once we get the cake, Billings and Gresham go full icing mode and we're fine.

Like literally how though? Would we trade Stuv for just their first pick? I personally would want a lot more than that. He's got more value to us at the club than he does on the trade table.

Problem is it goes completely against the clubs save richo plan.

I'd want them to chuck something else in too, because I'm greedy. But it's absolutely what it would take.

Having said that, imagine being a mid like Gaff looking at getting tagged to shreds in the Saints midfield without Stuv

development the guys are good some of the goals Paton kicked, his speed really showed at afl level. Really tough to chase need him on the ball such a ballanced player

The original rumour on here was JS, Acres and JB out unless Richo goes. There's a couple of different versions flying around now (one I saw yesterday was JB and ''others'' out unless Richo stays). No one outside the club really knows how much substance these rumours have but they don't seem to make much sense to me.

Makes no sense. Steven is our only mid worth tagging at the moment. Bringing in a gun should allow said gun or Steven to be free. Moving Steven out just means that the gun coming in will get the tag.
