Tbh its slightly baffling still that he only wants to come to Brissy and has not been even remotely linked to other clubs who (Kangas, saints, swans, carlton) would be pay a premium for him. They are right to question it, its great, but indeed a real head scratcher. Must be lifestyle and away from the bubble, thats all I can think of.

There was no mention of Buddy going anywhere other than GWS ....... before he landed at the Swans .......

Fair point. But to hear nothing along the lines of “team so and so has joined the chase for Neale” is strange with the increasing amount of mosquito journos buzzing around.

We approached him a couple of years ago, he knows we really want him

Question it by all means but do it without sticking the boot in is all I would say.

FREMANTLE is losing hope of securing Geelong midfielder Tim Kelly, believing he will sign a contract extension with the Cats this year.

Kelly was again supreme in Geelong’s dramatic last-term comeback against Melbourne on Saturday night with 10 disposals, two inside-50s, a score assist, a classy snapped goal and 53 ranking points.

The Dockers and West Coast would be keen to secure his services if he decided to move home.

But Fremantle’s information is that he continues to tell Geelong he wants to remain in Victoria — and the Dockers expect him to do so.

Dockers captain Nathan Fyfe said recently he would love to play alongside Kelly but not at the expense of young talent such as Victorian ruckman Sean Darcy.

Fremantle list manager Brad Lloyd is the brother of Geelong football manager Simon Lloyd, who has made clear the club expects to retain Kelly.

Cats coach Chris Scott earlier this month was confident the midfield revelation would commit long-term despite the strong pull of home in Western Australia.

If Kelly stays, the Cats will devise a plan to help mitigate as many of the homesickness factors as possible.

Kelly’s partner, Caitlin Miller, recently said on social media that living in Geelong was “boring ... because I have no family or friends here”.

The couple have three young children, including twins born weeks after Kelly was drafted.

The Dockers missed out on another key target this week when Jeremy McGovern signed on for five seasons at the Eagles.

Yeah I agree with the Barrett stuff, it really is a personal vendetta. Ive said it before but the old Lions admin had absolute contempt for the media and were horrible to deal with, there are a few journos out there who hate us for mistakes of the past, the 3 flags didnt help lol.

I saw this on insta. There are examples of the text that goes along with the testra whenyouneedit campaign cut into the pic.. every player that has contributed a picture so far (of them watching on their phone) puts their team emoji in the text under the picture to highlight their fave team... except young Lachie who chooses not to post the Dockers symbol.. might be a mistake but very coincidental if thats the case.

We are now using complex emoji analysis to determine whether a player is staying or going. I love 2018.

I was just reading about Ray Connellan, the delisted St Kilda rookie, sounds like he has some serious toe and is 24 so a good age for our group. Worth a cat B rookie spot? Asking because I really have no idea about him but we do seem to want another quick, small forward.

Edit: Opps he's not small, 191cm
Set up a match race over 20 meters with James Madden, if he wins offer him a contract.

Can’t Freo just bring their best and fairest forward?
They had unrealistic expectations of making the finals.
Kinda funny really.

Actually if you did some research you will see the club has always held the BnF at the conclusion of the entire football season. From as early as I can see on the internet from 2004 until now it's always been held in October, except for 13/14' (November)

Despite it looking like tradition to do it that way now I agree I'd like to see it earlier, but to have a dig and blindly claim as if fact we had those expectations is stupid.
