is he currently prevented from doing so at the moment because he quit the Crows while still under contract?
I dont believe the "wanting to go back to teaching" line.

I believe there are "non compete" clauses in the assistant coach contracts in regards to leaving mid contract for another assistant coaching role. We are holding him to that I reckon.

But GC do a trade we let him go . ..

Scrimshaw to the hawks for free

Everyone to Hawthorn for free. Sucked in Carlton, I know they were into him.

They said he was getting paid $400k so a bit of a salary dump I suppose. Still free, regardless.

GC probably trying to get any value in they can before Hawks give away the rest for Kelly and Wingard.

Go back and look. The post directly above yours. I said and I quote :

"Well I think that's is why now is the time to strike. Port are now aware of what he's worth . And what he's worth is at an all time low. If we swoop in and offer a no f ing around straight up fair trade and get it done we win.

Just keep it simple. Is he worth pick 8 or 13? Or pick 8 and 13, or Kelly on his own? What would Port accept out of those? Obviously we don't want to give 8 and 13 if we don't have to. Maybe 26 and Kelly?

We could get it done and offer whatever hawks pay for him. And I would rather see him in crows colours than hawthorn colours."

That's before you posted. So how's that going back and trying to make it look better afterwards. You are wrong. You can admit it, or be an internet troll and try and weasel your way out of it and be added to my ignore list.

You mentioned all of thar later. Not in that post. Therefore it's irrelevant as I was just picking on a pretty ridiculous sentence.

The fact you changed it later shows that even you thought that was, lets say, a tad far fetched. You have no argument here, be realistic the first time.

You lost me at wingard. Wouldn't go anywhere near him.

Im not so sure about this.

SPP - yes bona fide f**Kwit, no Club can fix him. Once a campaigner, always a campaigner. His second photo confirmed that.

Wingard is a prima dona but a good Club can turn that around.

Surely Gold Coast would be better off saying 'get stuffed' to those offers for Hall and Scrimshaw and have disgruntled players rather than selling them for nothing
There is something going on. Not sure how Victorian clubs can get super cheap deals but non-Victorian teams need to pay the right price that will pass "the sniff test" at AFL house.

Then why the f aren't we doing it. We are just failing our due diligence by letting a player of his ability go somewhere else when players are doing all they can to leave the state.
Every chance we could get him as a free agent in 12 months the way port are holding out with the Hawks

I'm led to believe he hates the Crows though so seems unlikely

I came across the same Vox analysis, it's a real eye-opener. When the dust settles we should send Reidy on a trip to study the draft pick trading of the Baltimore Ravens and NE Pats.
And everyone says "points value is useless unless you want academy players". The reality is the points values come from years of data and data doesn't lie. It's the overvaluing of high picks that makes everyone think the points system is worthless.

I'm not suggesting the values are perfect and they should always be relied upon. There are always other factors to consider like top end SA talent, number of free draft spots, needs etc. But I do think they are a reasonable guide.

Afl trade week. The week where players can't get to the club they want to go too. Snooze fest.

Yeah, he doesn't care about footy really, but he hates the Crows

It's all rubbish

“Italian fabric” suits (made in Bangladesh)

The Gold Coast board seem to think that he is toxic around the club and just want him out.
He's barely in their best 22. On talent he'd be in their best 3, seems to have attitude issues
