Who has the higher ceiling?

McAdam or Stengle. They are both fighting for the same spot.

Be interesting to see how we structure up. If we are going in with the same structures that we used in 2017, you would think that McAdam is going to play Gov's role. I would think that Stengle and Murphy are then earmarked for the Cameron role.

Next season I believe it will be Hart in charge of the forwards. In 2016 we looked a million dollars under Teague, so it remains to be seen if the new coaching structure can get as much out of our forwards as they did when Teague and Pods were on board.

Yeah, looking forward to a big step up from Gallucci. I really liked the impact he has with each possession. If we can find a role for him where he can keep having that impact, but find more of it, then he could be massive for us.

Having watched most of the SANFL GF in 2018, its a pity decades ago we didnt introduce interstate teams into our competition first.

Cut the SANFL teams down to 6 and have a team from Perth, NT, Syd and Tassie.

Its a pity that the SANFL - Basheer didnt have the foresight to do this. Mind you easy to sit back and say this in hindsight.

Basheer could have benefited from BigFooty in the 80s. :drunk::p
I think, in the 80s that SA & WA wanted to form the national league taking the best clubs from each state.

VFL wasn't having a bar of it, then in 87 when the eagles entered, that was the final nail.

I think that's how the story goes anyway.

...
I may have missed someone but that looks like 8 players out and 6 in. They only have 4 list spots left if they go to 40 + 4 rookies

What are they going to do with 2 3 5 19 24 29

They either need to either consolidate picks or trade out picks this year for next year or there's more leaving.

No need to panic, there's so many options, something is on the cards and Hamish doesn't have to sell the farm.
If we arent trading in a player I hope we take 5 picks to this draft.
The AFL release re. CFC & GC access to mature state league players also reported GC also get TWO extra Cat.A rookies in addition to their 3 state league prelists.

They could delist some existing players to put on their rookie list, or simply delist some more. Delist deadline is 2nov, I think.

Why not both?

I would love to see a forward line with Betts, McAdam and Stengle to complement our talls like Tex, JJ and Lynch.

If the talls dont take the mark but bring that ball to the ground we would have an amazing three amigos to grab the crumbs.
amazing three amigos to grab the crumbs. Love this can visualise it, would be so good

I think Fogarty will play McGovern role and Murphy, McAdam and Stengel will fight it out for the remaining spot in the team.

We might end up seeing sub 10k supporters turn up to a game regularly at Metricon.
You're overestimating how many fans the Suns currently have. A large percentage of the crowd at Metricon each week is opposition supporters. If they were to not allow opposition supporters in to the ground they would be lucky to get a couple of thousand people there.

Love to see him move to the midfield

We need more.speed through our midfield.

Trade show on Fox Footy believe pick 5 will be end up at Gold Coast once all big trades are done. Port are trying to get their hands on it, surely 10 & 15 doesn’t get them 5. Could they be stupid enough to do 6 & 15 to get 5?

So how is this not a form of draft tampering?
Why don’t the AFL just allow parties to buy draft picks with salary cap too then. Eg we turn around to St Kilda and give them $500k of our salary cap for two years if they trade us pick 4 for pick 13 and 16. Just make it carte Blanche instead of the charade that is going on at the moment

Anyone tried drinking that zero alcohol beer at their desk at work ??
Yep cracked one open in my Peter Jackson suit after saying happy birthday to Janet from accounting.
