Whilst it would be funny seeing port trade one of their best players, it would actually be better if he stays with all the acrimony that is seemingly between him and the club. Then leave next year for nothing
Or he stays as a disgruntled player... and next year the crows step in and offer him a nice deal and take him as a free agent..

Port wont match because they will be shit next year and the compo theyll get will probably be a first round pick straight after their first.

Imagine the hysterics from the toothless bogan brigade if the crows nabbed wingard off them!

Could it be that Ports Cripps could be worse than Brett Burton

Depends what you mean. I think he's doing an excellent job, much like Hinkley, and should be retained.

1. Sam Walsh 2. Jack Lukosius 3. Izak Rankine 4. Max King 5. Bailey Smith 6. Ben King 7. Connor Rozee 8. Nick Blakey

Rankine will be 5 , Rozee will be 3

Let Port do that, if they’re that stupid .... they’ve already given a lot of picks away to get #6

We’ll still get a star at #5 irrespective
yep... picks 11, 23, 30 and 49 just to get pick 6..

If they now give up 6 and 10 to get to 4 it would be picks 6, 10, 11, 23, 30 and 49 all just for pick 4!.

Anyone that does that needs to be sacked.

Hahahahaha.... both players have pretty much said they are crows supporters and would love to play for the crows in a round about way... and only said it in a round about way because they cant come out and directly say it..

Port know this and know that both lads will look to the crows first when/if they want to return home...

Thats why they are desperately trying to get up the draft ladder this year and get them now istead of risking letting them go and trying to get them back later..

Reminds me of the mother of a student I once had. Told me his name was Gooey. Interesting name, I say. Me mum named me after a bloke in a book she was reading, he says. Gooey, I say. It is an unusual name for a main character in a book, I say. How is it spelt? I ask. "G U Y". o_O

kind of like the client with a kid called Le-a
...pronounced Ledasha
sadly, i'm not even kidding

Like how you get Dooday out of Doedee?

problems for us if we want to trade up I think - off the Brisbane Board

Tom Browne Reporting- Pies bold first Beams offer tells me deal reasonably close. Pies first, and future first, in exchange for a Brisbane future second, would probably appease the lions and get it done @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne @triplemfooty

If Bris take that, then they could easily just bypass us and offer pick 5 and pick 18 to Freo for Neale with something coming back. Then Freo hand the pick 5 and something to Melbourne for Hogan...we are not needed if that happens

What an absolute flog Cripps is.

Right now, these boys are the centre of the AFL universe, but once the draft is over, they'll be small cogs in the AFL wheel.

The best thing for them is that for whoever ends up drafting them, they're allowed to develop without a circus going on around them.

I would hope if JR is asked something similar, he has a bit more class and says something like he hopes that the boys are a success at whichever club they get drafted to and the Crows will assess their trading options every year as they always do.

Brisbane might want to get Neale in the door first before they do the Beams trade

You’re double counting 11.

If they trade 6 and 10 it will have been 10, 11 (Pittard and Polec), 23, 30 and 49 for pick 4 and a future 3rd round and 4th round selection.

It will leave them with pick 4 and 85 this year!

They are currently 6 players down and have brought in Lycett, so they would need to fill 5 spots with two picks!

This is why they will trade Wingard for 15 and Burton as this will give them 4 picks for 5 spots.

They might then think about 6 and 15 for 4, but this is over paying and will leave them with 3 picks for 5 spots.
