Hes one I was considering for our first pick. I think we need to look at our elite tall stocks with Talia closer to the end than the start.

Thoughts on him with our first?

We need a pacy midfielder with a bit of size for our first. We should have some decent late first/early second rounders to look at tall defenders.

Can't see him going quite that high unless someone goes early on him, Id think he's somewhere in thev 8 - 12 mark currently but that could change slightly depending on his Finals campaign for the SANDY Dragons. Josh Worrell the KPD most likely to be there around our 2nd - 3rd pick I think, won't play finals due to injury.

Big bodied Geelong Falcon midfielder Cooper Stephens likely to be available around our 2nd - 3rd pick now after fracturing his fibula early in the season and not going to play again before the combine.....IMO he was a likely 1st rounder before the unfortunate injury, plays a lot like James Worpel albeit he's a a bit taller at around the 189cm. I predict he'll be a bargain pick similar to Worpel.

Sladojevic would make a good third tall for mine.
5 goals to 3qt U18s today.
Yet when he lined up on his interstate peers for a competitive SA U18's team at the Championships he was found wanting. Maybe give him a shot on the rookie list because I doubt there's likely to be any interest from too many AFL clubs. Obviously failed to get 4 nominations from AFL clubs as he's not an invitee to the AFL National Draft combine. Others may have seen more of Daniel but on what I've seen he doesn't really look to have any real standout attributes that scream AFL football, not overly tall, quick or agile on what I've seen.

SA AFL National Draft Combine invitees :

Will Day SA West Adelaide
Karl Finlay SA North Adelaide
Will Gould SA Glenelg
Dyson Hilder SA North Adelaide
Jackson Mead SA Woodville West Torrens
Josh Morris SA Woodville West Torrens
Callum Park SA Glenelg
Kysaiah Pickett SA Woodville West Torrens
Harry Schoenberg SA Woodville West Torrens
Josh Shute SA Sturt
Dylan Stephens SA Norwood
Cameron Taheny SA Norwood

Also no invite to the SA State Combine would indicate AFL recruiters aren't seeing an AFL footballer in him either.

Not many playing in this game I could see us having a lot of interest in at this point other than Bendigo Pioneer's midfielder #4 Thomas Dow and lightning quick HBF/Winger #38 Brady Rowles who's a particular favourite of mine. For the Northern Knights the 197cm KPP #23 Nikolas Cox for next year's draft is certainly one to watch whether playing forward or back and we could have a sneaky interest in prolific ball winning mid #13 Sam Philp perhaps.

Liked a few plays by Sholl that q.

ROB and Davis lifting.

Wilson and Poholke easy BOG's

Gallucci playing a bit more midfield time today. Getting a few more handballs to his name than usual. Still getting caught with the ball though - could have had 3-4 more possessions to his name.

McAdam invisible.

Few top up players skills are hurting us
wrong thread mate

Now that Sydney has won today Carlton can not climb any higher on the ladder. They will finish 16th. So we definately get pick 3 but compensation picks and prioity picks may effect us.

Don't think Dees have anyone significant they may be losing to FA and thankfully GC lost their FAs last year and probably wont lose any this year (that would have a pick 2 compo)?

So only the possible GC priority pick could affect things.

So at this stage its Pick 3 for Pick 8 and Pick 19 2018?

Dylan Stephens with 22 disposals and 2 goals. Is going to be a good player.
Smooth mover, very good in traffic.

He COULD be a bit Atkins-like in that he won't always do the hard stuff against bigger bodies but he's got some talent.

Mitch O'Neill a very similar player with even better skills and more upside to come IMO and more likely to be in our wheelhouse picks wise than Stephens I would think. Dual U18's All Australian 2018 & 2019
