I wonder if you can ring up Ticketmaster on Thursday during our ticket purchasing window and talk to a real person whether you could then select a section/row rather than book online or if the old fashioned flesh and blood route is even an option.

Ticketmaster Outlets do not accept bookings or enquiries over the phone.
Not quite 50/50, Gabba Members get first shot at tickets along with Lions members and the cricketers club is for their members only. We should have a edge is supporter numbers.Always 50/50 for finals games.
I doubt many would fly up when they can just see their team play the following weekend at the MCG.
You guys will easily have the edge. Flights are now going around the 1k mark for melb-bris return. If we can get 6-7 k up there I think that’d be a good result for us.Not quite 50/50, Gabba Members get first shot at tickets along with Lions members and the cricketers club is for their members only. I posed the question, and she said it would not be advised.I wonder if you can ring up Ticketmaster on Thursday during our ticket purchasing window and talk to a real person whether you could then select a section/row rather than book online or if the old fashioned flesh and blood route is even an option.
The AFL are such a pain in the ass re the way they have allowed Ticketmaster to do the distribution of these tickets, surely it wouldn't be too difficult for the state of the art Ticketmaster computer system to allow people to select their own seating arrangements, for F sake our species has landed a man on the moon.I posed the question, and she said it would not be advised.
I hope that is the case, please excuse my cranky old man rant post above everyone. OOOPPPPPS!Just got off the phone from the Bris lions membership and I was told.
When the time comes , from the ticketmaster Gabba venue map you'll be able to select seat category and click on a section and seat and book your tickets from there.
I've never booked seats online before, so I'm hoping that is the case.
The other option is to queue up at a ticket master office and get them there.

I would note that "best available" isn't the only option, but it seems to be the consensus that seat category is as close you get to selecting anything. You don't get to select your seat, you get what the website deems as "best available". The more seats you are looking for the harder it is (I have 4 memberships). The website is garbage when it comes to this time of year as that many people are attempting to get tickets. I've had two laptops and my phone up on the site, don't just rely on one tab being open.
I am angry along with you Jas!I rang the club this morning as well because we have 3 September members Priority 1 access + 3/3 game child member Priority 2 access which provides ticket access in a later window to P1. The lady on the phone said to get our seating together we'd have to delay our P1 purchase until the P2 purchase window.
Most of the events that we sell have an interactive seating map, which allows fans to select their own seats online.
That's what I was told, but I wouldn't bet the house on it , but that is what she said.I hope that is the case, please excuse my cranky old man rant post above everyone. OOOPPPPPS!

Get the kids Victorian memberships next year. 5 Gabba games and all Lions games in Melbourne inc.The AFL are such a pain in the ass re the way they have allowed Ticketmaster to do the distribution of these tickets, surely it wouldn't be too difficult for the state of the art Ticketmaster computer system to allow people to select their own seating arrangements, for F sake our species has landed a man on the moon.
Picking a category and that's your only option is ridiculous, we're going with category 1 and looking at the seat map we could end up being anywhere from the very front row to the very back, I hate being right down the front at ground level and knowing how these sort of things work out I could bet my right testicle that we'll end up in the front 3-4 rows.

Not going to do that in case we miss out, the kids will just have to miss out this time, we'll purchase September Memberships for them in 2020.
