This is so stressful. I don’t think I’ll relax until I’ve purchased my tickets...

I am slightly worried that a lot of the tickets will be gobbled up by tigers members. There are more of them then there are of us... and it supposed to be a home game lol.

Just on the off chance, chucking this out there;
If there are any members with Priority 1 access, who are unable to go to the Qualifier at the Gabba, would you like to share your barcode with me so I can get my daughter a ticket (adult) with us for this game? Please send via private message if anyone fits that description.
Thanks.

This might be a silly question, but how do you know if you have Priority 1 access?

I checked the email with my barcode, but it doesn't actually say Priority 1. I'm assuming I am given I have been a continuous Foundation Member without any lapses in my membership.

Where we have our chair lined up at ticketmaster just spoke with some collingwood and geelong members who purchased tickets and they advised they had no choice where they sat. They gave the operator a category and that was it. They were given what they were given.

Each club gets its own separate allocation of tickets.

Keen to stop you turning up.
Maybe. I shouldn't have posted that I'd be happy to pay double.

I wonder when you purchase, if you have the opportunity to reject seats and try again if you don't like them.
The other seats in the same category are the very back row of the top tier. Not interested in sitting up there.

Was the case in the 2017 finals and look what happened.

The AFL/Ticketek set aside bays for each club's members but they have the ability to swap a bay from one side to the other. If there are way more Brisbane members trying to access tickets, then the AFL will move those bays from 'Richmond bays' to 'Brisbane bays'. Once it moves into the General Public sale there will be 'Brisbane areas' and 'Richmond areas' but theres nothing stopping someone from buying in the oppostion bay if the seats are better.

In the Initial rush you wont be able to pick and choose where you want to sit, It's one of the measures the website takes to help quicken the process up and allow people to get seats as fast as possible. Later in the day you might be able to pick and choose, but you run the risk of not being able to get seats at all.

Richmond fans have shown recently to aggressively buy tickets much faster than the other clubs, so my suggestion would be to be prepared tommorow and not be too picky. Good luck.

Sorry but I have still seriously got the shits about the fact that you can't choose what seat you want, and if you concede that surely it wouldn't be that hard to allow supporters to select a section. If they want to keep the 2 groups of supporters away from each other it wouldn't be too hard to set aside half the sections within each category for each group of supporters at either end and side of the ground. We have the technology people.

The fact that in most categories you can end up anywhere from on the fence to in one of the very back rows is shocking. I would still go to the game but if we end up in the front couple of rows it wont help my mood or my ongoing distaste for the administration capacities of the AFL, Gill the Dill and his crew are incompetent buffoons.

For those of you who want to ensure you have a ticket and also ensure there are less Richmond fans at the game

Gee those Tigers fans are going to be well and truly primed for the game, a 2 and a half hour beverage package mid afternoon from midday from which I'm sure they'll twaddle off to The Pineapple/Morrision/The Norman etc. to top up before game time.

50/50 What is left goes to the public which you would hope , more lions supporters.
I have a funny feeling there won’t be anything left, and the club hinted as much this morning.

They are going to be Feral Cats 🐈

Info from Collingwood fans and afl friends who bought tickets today was they had more luck logging in via their Ticketmaster app rather than computer. Friends on the computer were waiting 20 mins, whereas a couple of others via their phone app got in straight away.
