Patton not worth much and Bonnar has shown very little at NEAFL level yet alone AFL level. that Giants 2nd will be a late 2nd, not trading back that far for those two players.

He has a rock hard body made for AFL, kicks 35-40 a year and has pace to burn.

Perfect for our forward set up for the next 6-7 years.

Haha, Bloos only have one 1st round pick to deal and that's the 2020 one. The $tains will have to fight GC for it.

The fact that he’s clearly last in that pecking order is the worry.
GWS have always had that production line (with previously Shiel, Treloar and Adams in the team clogging up spots), and pushed out the young players they choose.
Maybe Bonar is different, but they’ve had 2 years to look at him, he’s the one they’ve chosen to let go, and they’re not asking that much.

Caldwell, Hatley and now Tom Green and whoever else they draft will be competing for the spots with Bonar. With the Giants having players like Greene, Coniglio, Kelly, Cameron, Whitfield, Ward, Davis, Haynes all on big money the Giants model doesn't allow them to have guys in years 3,4,5 on decent money and not being in the team. The Giants signed him to a contract extension before he even debuted. Kennedy, Settterfield, Taranto and Hopper all did the same thing and the two that were not playing regularly were traded out.

That’s the thing about the GWS list, it will continuously bleed players, but it’s about being smart with who to target.

Wouldn’t mind if we positioned ourselves front and centre next to the Saints to come in and crumb the players that they can’t get done. Cannot see how the expect to get Hill, Ryder, Howard, Jones and Butler with only pick 6 and 59.

If Howard or Butler spill out they’d both be great fits for us, covering the pressure forward need and shoring up our long term KPD stocks.
