I’m going rogue...
Reckon the deal is

Freo : Pick 10, 2020 First, pick 58 and Acres
Stkilda : Hill, Freo 2020 2nd, Melbourne 2020 2nd, and Freo 3rd 2020.

We use pick 58 to secure Aish.

St Kilda are obviously keen to offload

Acres as were not going to extend him after 2020 as big money which with influx of players benefits them. Bloke can’t kick.

What's the deal with trades being submitted after the 7.30pm deadline? Is the rule, if you are in the room holding paperwork, they'll still accept it? I think that's what happened last year and the year before. It probably need to happen again this year if the AFL is deliberately stalling trades.
Yep, that happened with the Weller deal

The list of forwards to midfielders is full of elite players.
Walters, Robbie Gray, Nathan Fyfe, Gary Ablett Jnr etc
The list of forwards to midfielders is undoubtedly longer. I'm not trying to say that Jackson will turn out like Grundy but Grundy is aslo elite.
I don't think looking at the careers of other players really helps too much when comparing Jackson and Taylor. Would rather assess them on what they've both shown rather than what other blokes have achieved but I accept your point.
We need midfielders not ruckmen no to jackson.
If we're after mids, I'd argue there would be better options than Taylor available

I reckon we're more likely to sign Heppell than get their 2020 first. It's done, we need to let it go. Looks like the deal is all but finalised

im going to be worrying about an early henry bid till draft night :weary:

Will spew if it's Melbourne after the generosity we've shown them over the last 2 years.

So effectively we’re getting 3 years from Brad Hill, Blake Acres, Pick 10, a top 30 pick, and Pick 58 for Chris Mayne?

Not bad.
That's how I'm looking at it.

What ever we get is thanks to Chris Mayne.

I thing that gets me with The Saints and Brad Hill.

Is normally a team would try to bring in Brad Hill as that finishing piece, that final piece to the premiership puzzle. But their list is nowhere near competing I think they're making a mistake.

The more this trade period has gone on the more I think why, why are the saints paying this much for Brad Hill. Is it because he's a name and they are trying to play with the big boy destination clubs? I dunno, their list is full of vanilla players. Where is their star.

If im melbourne, unless im really really in love in Weightman then I wouldn't bid on Henry. But if i still really like Weightman but rate Henry anywhere near the same ball park, given they play similar roles Im 100% bidding on Henry because im almost certain Fremantle will match the bid and wipe out their next pick, and if they don't i'll still get a player who plays a role we need.

If they rate Weightman slightly higher they will take him, honestly I think people are being way too paranoid on this one. They wanted to move up the draft for a reason, I highly doubt that reason was to try and wipe out our next pick or go after a player that even if available they might not get. It would make no sense.
