We are definitely a good wet weather team, big bodies and not blessed with pace

Richmond will not like it one bit. They want to score off our turn overs and quick off it. They won’t be able to do this at all.

They are a turnover and outside side. Not a contested hard side.

It suits Richmond with their tackling

They are a good tackling side but if we bring intent like last night we can out tackle them. Where they get us is with pace out the back which is far harder to do in the wet. We are far more chance of beating them in a 10 goals to 8 defensive game in the wet than a dry shootout.

Tigers good in wet. They don’t p fart around with the ball. They just ram it forward.

Hawkins is worth 4 goals whether he kicks them or frees up Sav or dishes off. Those 4 goals will be costly next Friday, as we will probably just get pipped.

We must take the same team that played WCE into the Richmond match, hope Hawkins gets off and if not replace him with Fort or Abbott who can sit deep and play his role.
What we can't do is drop Stanley. Wet or not, we are better with him in the team, Sav forward and Blicavs back.

Would rather play Smith and put Stanley forward.

Smith is a very capable ruck, and was emergency. If fine weather, our tall marking forwards could trouble their defence, although Astbury and Grimes are very good.
