I'd do pick 4 and BCrouch for Pick 1 and a 2nd rounder.
Rowell is an amazing talent
Was that you having coffee with Nobes at Henley?

Bitterly disappointed there has been no talk of delisting or trading Atkins.
People do realise that Atkins is an outside player and one of the best users of the ball in the team. You actually need other players to be getting the ball and passing it to him so he can use his skills.

The fact our midfield was completely dysfunctional and smashed in clearances in the latter half of the season meant that a guy like Atkins had zero hope of performing.

those lace out kicks to Fogarty against West Coast in Perth are reason enough to keep himi

I know he's a popular whipping boy here, but why would there be any likelihood of delisting him? He's talented and not lacking in ability, not particularly old at all - he needs a kick up the arse in the preseason if anything.

Does this all mean that Atkins doesnt have to lay tackles, apply pressure and is given a free pass to jog after opponents that have the ball?...

At the current rate, we will have a considerable amount of cap space available (i.e. no Keath, Greenwood, Betts, Jenkins) - which to me points to the fact we will try extremely hard this year to bring in Grundy this year.
Depends on how much of Betts' & Jenkins' salaries we end up having to pay.

I read elsewhere that Adelaide are happy to trade Betts to Carlton for peanuts, but they're unwilling to pay any of his salary. Carlton's salary cap is apparently maxxed out, so they're desperate for Adelaide to pick up part of the tab.

On the other side of the coin, Adelaide is quite eager to see the back of Jenkins and are willing to both trade him cheaply and pick up part of his salary. Geelong is his most likely suitor - as if they don't have enough 30+ year olds on the verge of retirement already!

Agreed , definitely needs a kick up the backside to get into elite shape - he looked a few kegs over last season and lost alot of his confidence and spark .
A new coach and a fresh start should provide the catalyst for him to have a career best season in 2020 . If not then it is time to move him on .
Make or break year for Rory .

Thank christ someone gets it.

Sick of hearing the same "he's an outside player" excuse.
Totally agree

Im not sure how this outside player concept has crept into people's thinking

All players need to be able to tackle, defend and win the ball when its their turn

When its your turn to go you go no matter what role a player plays in a team

From 2013, Brad has played 83 out of a possible 185 games at the AFC. That's 45%.

This must be a factor in any responsible contract renegotiation by the club.

As a comparison, Matt and Sloane have played 79% of all possible games.

You're stats are right, but the problem is, apparently Brad blames the club for last year. Which is one of the reasons he wants out (supposedly).

I'd like to add Mackay and Hartigan to this list
I'm sure you would - but so far neither have been delisted (Hartigan is contracted for 2020), and there are precisely zero rumours about either player being traded. On that basis, there's no justification for adding either of them to the list.

And he's actually a terrible user of the ball.

In practice and under no pressure he can certainly deliver the ball well. Under any sort of pressure and he turns to water and is prone to Hartigan like brain farts. Even when the game is tight he tends to go to water and make horrible decisions.

Yep I am happy JJ is exploring his options.

I recognize his contribution and have posted as such where he compares favourably to Walker.

But he has been a cancer with his self entitlement. Just like Jacobs an expectation of returning exceeded his output

So yes happy dancing here
