I don't care what any of the bloggers say, there will be a big difference in the quality of the kids taken between those picks when you look back in 5 years time. The best may be the last taken but given that each club will be choosing who they think will be the best player, and those clubs are likely filled with better judges than the bloggers, your odds of getting the best player decrease every pick. The club who takes the best player will likely say they expected them to go much higher, that they were surprised they got to their pick and for that to happen you have to hope the clubs before you make the wrong choices, the later your pick the less chance all the teams make wrong choices before you.

The only thing that makes me think it's a good idea (2 things actually) is it will probably get us Stephens and Gould as it's right in their zone. Plus it adds a first rounder next year to add to 2 last year and 2 this.

After Rowell and Anderson Kemp the one I want but will we pick him at 4, if we swap with GWS or Geelong we could get Kemp plus extras.
a gamble yes but 2 x 1st in 2020 allows us some collateral to get Luko and still have some Points in the bank to use on Borlase and Edwards.

I think Kemp still goes top 10.

Or the nasty Plan C, Call out Green forcing GWS to use pick 14 and 18 For Points which will lower our 2nd rd picks down by 1, Then pick Kemp.

I'd take Kemp, but I think the AFC would be reluctant as they would feel pressure to show an early return on this pick. Kemp would take time but it's exactly what our midfield lacks I reckon.
