They were 3 separate trades that happened to involve the same pick weren't they?
Yes ....but all trades depended on each club shuffling the same pick, so it was a multi-club trade

True, but still don't think you can call that a 3 club trade. For me a 3 club trade is executed all at once, not in 3 separate chapters.

Its probably semantic's, but I think the point the guy was making was when was the last time you saw a 3 club trade involving currency that high executed all at once?

I think it is semantics ....yes the clubs announced seperate trades ....but the outcome was the same as if all 3 were announced simultaneously

Mate we are in offseason... The time for semantic's is upon us!

I'm gonna put a bold call out there. This thread alone will on average spawn at least 3 semantics based arguments a week until the end of trade week.

EDIT: Actually that's not even that bold!

How shortsighted would you have to be to wait until the completion of the minor round though. Surely they must have seen the 2 things that we all saw;

1. 2 pretty good minor round years and a couple of good finals in 2016 & 2017
2. A complete fall off the cliff despite fielding largely the same team whilst not investing anything significant in youth.

You don't need to know whether you've scraped into the 8 to realise that something is wrong.
Footyology podcast took a shot at this lack of change. From the 2017 GF , if you include Smith 17/18 played on the weekend just finished.

They bashed Ross Lyon for not introducing youth - 18 debutants since 2014/15 . I thought that was a high number and I went and had a look , I dont think the AFC passed 12

Maybe spud is a bit harsh for Cox.

But given Giro and Nyhuis have zero trade value (and we're giving up a 2020 4th rounder) that means Cox alone must be worth 26 plus the difference between 3 and 6.

So far, Cox's claim to fame is kicking 4 goals against us. Done not much else; fairly average player. There is no way in hell he is worth that currency, maybe a pick in the 40s, but not 26 and a first round downgrade.

As for Giro, we could just play McHenry and as for Nyhuis, we could just continue playing Kelly or try out a Hamill type. Zero need to trade for either.
Nyhuis looks to be the Dean Gore in that secenario

Of those 12, I would love to know how many actually played more than 3 games.

Pyke has to take ownership of not setting up the Club for the future as well.
