Isnt Lynch contracted, if you sack him he still gets paid and it goes into your salary cap, he may aswell play SANFL

If a club that finished 12th doesn't want him no one will want him
Lynch would very much suit a Hawthorn or WB given the way those teams move the ball

Lynch is a great player in a team that is doing well. His role is dependent on others winning the ball and him moving it up the ground or getting on the end of it playing forward.

I would bet the same people that want him gone, will cry how we stuffed up letting him go if he goes to a good team and has an AA year.

What we need to do is fix our gameplan and lift the quality of players up around Lynch to get the best out of him rather than just trade him out.

If posters believe, players that are at the end of their career, will be wanted by any other club apart than for free and even then at all, most team supporters want to see a young player picked up and see if they can make an impact., exactly what Adelaide supporters want

Geelong are older than us, hawthorn are in need of a youth injection as clarko indicated and his actions this year, WB need to concentrate on getting more games into youth as has been the critiscm of ourselves

We can want these teams to want to take our garbage but reality is they wont, these players like Lynch Betts Tex and JJ are all contracted and on good $$$, they aren't going anywhere I suppose we could get rid of them and contribute between 500-1 mil towards their salaries but lets face it he club cant afford to do that atm

Agree with your sentiments, except for the fact he is going to be 30.

With his style of play relying on his ability to out work and outrun players and his history of injuries, he's well and truly peaked as a player. He plays such an aerobically taxing game that relies on him being at peak physical fitness to be effective.

Yes, we will still get good games from him, but they will become more dispersed and further and further apart.

If there was a good offer for him I would definitely take it.

If we're turning the page, let's take the opportunity and do it properly.

have You seen the 13 players they have turning 29 plus next year and on top of that losing kelly, you know that old age cliff we just fell off, the cats are in the car behind us
Didnt people say that a couple of years ago?

I still think he has a couple of years in him.

The issue is he wont demand anything better than a third rounder.

But in a better environment will thrive.

I am all for moving guys like JJ, Betts, Sauce, Mackay and Gibbs on as I dont think they add much value going forward. Eddie for sentiment and team vibe. Maybe Sauce as a back up Ruck, but he can be a lead Ruck elsewhere and a cheaper option in back up should be sought.

None of these guys have been best 22 this year. They certainly should not be next year

In an ideal world for 2020 or three oldest players should be Tex, Sloaney and Lynch.

Agree with Lynch. Fantastic player and vital to our 2017 run. But his trade values only going to diminish from here and given his age I don’t think he’s part of our next premiership.

Plus it frees up a natural role for Lukosius ;)

what do you think he is worth considering we will want them to take his salary aswell

Gary Rohan was traded to the cats for pick 61 and he was 28

If we get Luko, that changes things. Ideal Lynch replacement.

I am unsure on Davis. From what I have seen in the SANFL he does his best work behind the ball.

I’d give both Greenwood & Keats 3 years. Happy medium and I can say I tried if they still want to leave
keathy definately

greenwood, stick to 2 years. his form this year hasn't warranted 3 years

More so Keath and I’m a fan of Greenwood, unless they plan on moving on some of our other inside mids.

We are going to need some decent 28 plus players, there has to be a balance.

Keath is a quality player and a massive improvement on Hartigan. Plus we used him as the back up ruck on the weekend, gives us more flexibility

2 year deals offered to both HG and Keath reportedly.

Good list management, crazy if we were offering 4-5 years given their age.

Two years with a trigger for a third is perfectly reasonable for both.
Don't blame either of them for trying to maximise their deals though.

History of injuries?

2015 - 23 games
2016 - 23 games
2017 - 23 games
2018 - 17 games
2019 - 16 games

Hardly what you would call injury prone. He actually did quite well to play 17 games in 2018 given the Burton / Hass factor across the whole club
