MilneDempster and Schneids were pretty handy.
Stephen Powell was a Fav of mineGherig aside,I am struggling to think of 2 players over the last 20 years that have come from another clubs main list and made a meaningful contribution on field .
yes Hamill ,but not long enough .
Not sure we had the chance to overlook him though hahadustin martin goes alright
Yes definitely, although he was off the rookie list at the Bombers.Milne
Went ok as did Brett Voss imoStephen Powell was a Fav of mine
I thought he was possibly close to coming to us at one stage when the Tigers were shopping him around but that Watters said no.Not sure we had the chance to overlook him though haha
Ah B. Voss very under rated playerWent ok as did Brett Voss imo
In hindsight I can see why people would take issue with that. But at the time, he was nowhere near the level of player that he is now, and he did have his share of off-field issues. I'm surprised Richmond actually stuck by him after touring GWS' facilities.I thought he was possibly close to coming to us at one stage when the Tigers were shopping him around but that Watters said no.
Was it him who had words to Ling after the first bounce in the '04 Wizard Cup?Stephen Powell was a Fav of mine
yes yes it was LOLWas it him who had words to Ling after the first bounce in the '04 Wizard Cup?
What a game that was. Back when the pre-season actually meant something.yes yes it was LOL
When was Cockatoo delisted ?sorry just been catching up on this thread...
I've read a lot about the mistake of taking Paddy at number 1 in the 2014 draft so decided to refresh my memory....
2014 AFL draft and this is where the top 10 sits now
1. Saints. Patrick McCartin (head case issues - concussion)
2 Demons. Christian Petracca (head case issues - FIGJAM without the G bit to get him the respect of the comp)
3 Demons. Angus Brayshaw (head case issues - concussion)
4. Giants. Jarrod Pickett (injury prone - now gone from Carlton.)
5. Magpies. Jordan De Goey (head case - at that time I believe that is the agreed consensus though gun now)
6. Giants. Caleb Marchbank (key defender - not likely to get the membership excited and not yet established as a star of the comp)
7. Giants. Paul Ahern (done well to battle his way after 2 reco's and looks a pretty reasonable afl player)
8. Suns. Peter Wright (I took this from the afl season review of the sun's...
Disappointment
Peter Wright: After Lynch departed it was hoped Wright could grab the mantle as the Suns' go-to man, but 'Two Metre Peter' just couldn't find the consistency and was banished to the NEAFL late in the season.)
9 Magpies. Darcy Moore ( not available as Father son pick)
10 Cats. Nakia Cockatoo. delisted. no comment
That was the "reasonable" choices for the number 1 draft pick. Bag the previous recruiting team for their fails but people should probably leave taking Paddy at number 1 off their list of gripes
You presume all our players are little angels?I have already paid next years memberships, but on principal if we pick up Bennell I will cancel them.
I don't want him, but our club has got a heap right the last 6 months will back them in if they go that wayI have already paid next years memberships, but on principal if we pick up Bennell I will cancel them.
The Collingwood cheer squad. Umpires go weak before them.Who were the dickheads that we overlooked that would've given us a better chance in the last 5-6 years?
Fair chance given that delisted free agency starts tomorrow. We might find another player in Saints colours from tomorrow.
C you next Tuesday was the vernacular I believeWas it him who had words to Ling after the first bounce in the '04 Wizard Cup?

George, Trout has hacked your account!!!Yeah look, I don't want Bennell at all.
We will be going backwards the day we decide to put talent over character.
Well that's happens to Bruce, reiwoldt etc
