given he’s played under Nicks youd hope so. Who is favourite to land Caldwell?Fox Footy have Adelaide as the favourite for Hately.
Deals probably already been agreed to..Fox Footy have Adelaide as the favourite for Hately.

Wonder if hes in the gws team tomoz..
Not ahead of Hopper, Taranto, Kelly and Coniglio no.Are we supposed to get excited about this? I just don't get it. He can't get a game for GWS.
I think you're serious too?Are we supposed to get excited about this? I just don't get it. He can't get a game for GWS.
Matt Crouch wouldn't get a game at gwsAre we supposed to get excited about this? I just don't get it. He can't get a game for GWS.

That's a worry.
Go watch some replays of the 2018 Nationals where he played the inside/outside mid role and get back to me.I respect your opinions, Mutineer. Let me know why we should be excited, please. I have seen him live in a couple of GWS games on the wing, where he was fairly slow and vanilla, similar to many we have already. Why the need?
I think it would be a very very nice get to land him but until it happens I won't hold my breath..Port may be sniffing around too and they have shown how the=y don't sit back and wait to crunch a deal (rightly or wrongly) if they want a playerGo watch some replays of the 2018 Nationals where he played the inside/outside mid role and get back to me.
He played inside mid all his junior career until he was upgraded to Central Districts League team where he generally played high half forward.
He's a starting midfielder in our rotations if we get him.....and he's not slow, he's plenty quick enough for the role he has matched with his running power.
Kevan "Shifter" Sheehan's draft bio :
Jackson Hately
Central District/Walkerville/SA
189cm 80kg 21/10/2000
Medium midfielder who excels at stoppages and is extremely versatile. Strong contested ball winner and can impact the scoreboard. One of the stars for South
Australia in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, winning Under-18 All-Australian honours. Already played well for Central District at senior level this year, averaging 18.4 disposals in 12 matches. Has the running capacity to make repeat efforts and outnumber the contest, as well as transition both ways.
Competitive Advantage: Versatility, ball winning
Draft Combine: Running Vertical Jump 84cm, 2km 6.24sec
The kid is 19, and the GWS midfield is stacked. He's done well to have played 12 games. Are we supposed to get excited about this? I just don't get it. He can't get a game for GWS.
Sam Jacobs couldn't get a game for Carlton too, he turned out ok.Are we supposed to get excited about this? I just don't get it. He can't get a game for GWS.
Strongly doubt we will take McDonald and Thilthorpe. It will be one or the other I would presume and McDonald is the best performed mid out of the two currently. I would be very happy if we nabbed McDonald, Hollands and Oliver Henry. Henry is a really good mark who can play forward. Don't think we will get him at our GWS pick but you never know. Looks like Henry could play the Tom Lynch or 3rd tall role. A forward line of McDonald , Himmelberg, Henry, McAdam, Stengle, Gollant? or another small would be very good. If Fogarty could get superfit and build a decent tank he could likely play more midfield with a resting forward role. I feel McAsey will most likely end up a defender. Not really sure where Worrell fits in but could play the taller defender rebounding role or wing.Think its been mentioned before. If we get picks 1 and 2 and hypothetically we go McDonald and Thilthorpe. Would a foreard line of these two + Fogarty be too top heavy? Fog could be the third fwd I guess. Would be great to see him build his tank and play that Dusty mid/fwd type role.
Then with GWS pick we go a mid and then pick up Hately also.
Go after mids in 2021/22.
McDonald is performing the best currently.Thoughts?
Yep good call regarding top 2 picks. Think it's unlikely too that we go the two key forwards off the bat but interested to hear thoughts. Like the idea of Hollands too or O'Driscoll if we pick McDonald at 1. Hopefully Fog can have a big pre-season!Strongly doubt we will take McDonald and Thilthorpe. I would take pick 1 and pick Hollands. Use 2nd rounders in getting Dogs 1st round. Then I would auction pick 2 to the highest bidder with an expectation 2nd pick being around pick 5. Edwards will be late 1st to 2nd rounder. Borlase probably late 2nd to 3rd round. At this point on form Newchurch won’t be drafted.Think its been mentioned before. Still reckon Port will use their first pick to bid on Borlase and well let him go thereI would take pick 1 and pick Hollands. Use 2nd rounders in getting Dogs 1st round.
