Would Shai Bolton be someone of interest for Freo?

He'd just about be my number 1 target, but will likely be ungettable.

Have always been a fan but 2 years too late we missed the boat there.

Can we get L McDonald?

Surely we need to have a go - even if handcuffed currently. If you “really” want someone you go and get them...unless someone is coming through in the 2021/2022 crop that is clearly better. A natural key forward that has skill, great kick, reads the play, big tank and of the highest character not to mention the icing on cake - from WA. They don’t grow on trees.

Can we give up our 2021 1st for another teams 2020 1st. A team wanting to take a punt on us staying put or sliding further down the ladder. Perhaps a team that doesn’t want a 1st this year due to a high NGA pick they would rather get rid of it and put it off until next year?

If we could then pair 2 x 2020 1st picks together and get a top pick?

I don’t want to sell the farm (future) but I also want our gun mids to have an elite key fwd to develop with and kick to for 10 years. Serong to McDonald!

Don’t see any way to get McDonald, you would have to go pick 1 to be safe

Maybe the SA lad Tillthorpe if the cards fell our way re Hogan and Sydney

I saw some footage of Elijah Holland’s running the other day in his ACL recovery. He seems to have turned himself into a beast in the last 12 months. He must be close to 190cm and had a Fyfe/Cripps style body.
Not technically a KPP but not far off it either

This was the point of my previous post which seems pretty unpopular.

Essentially it was trading Hogan & Cox to get to a draft position to get McDonald and an early 2nd. McDonald is a gun and if we can build our future forward line around him then we will be in a great position.

Yes Hogan played great at Melbourne but he has done nothing with us. He has played maybe one good game for us this year. The other games he was pretty ordinary. No second efforts if he wasn’t the target. Do we really want him to trigger a contract extension and even bigger $ based on 11 or so ordinary games next year?

Cox will get squeezed out of the team if Hamling, Pearce & Logie are all fit. He won’t fit into a coward line with Tabs, Fyfe and Lobb, so why not trade him whilst is currency is at its highest?

I thought Hogan was going to be a champion too and was happy to sell the farm to get him, but he just isn’t that guy. I can’t see him fighting back.

So putting ourselves in a position for McDonald should be a priority for us.

Nice ana

I remember a young key forward playing for East Fremantle league who was killing it.

Talls are bloom or busts in the top 5 picks.

McDonald is not a Monty to be a star.

Not point reaching.

I don’t think you need to include Cox in that though...
1. Sydney get JH, CB and pick 10. Give pick 4 (plus change either way)
2. Norf get pick 4 plus Schultz and Bewley. Give pick 2 (plus change either way?)
3. (Sorry joao) Adelaide get Crowden, Giro and pick 2. Give pick one (plus change)

Then we can use next years first to try get another pick inside this draft.

That said, if we can’t get LMcD, I’m really keen on Hollands

??????

Josh Kennedy is the last one I can think of, and he wasn't exactly killing it.

Hogan, Blakely, Schultz, Bewley, Crowden, Giro and 10 for 1?
