15-25, 10-20, 20-35, 25-35.

That could easily change in 12 months, but their output and/or consistency needs to lift.
Very good and pretty close as to my range for these players, Now with a 3rd rounder in this years draft looking like around pick #50+ I think that is really not even close to Jack Higgins Value. Jack Higgins career stats are better than all of LOB/Dow/SPS/Cunningham

Regarding his medical issues all the doctors have given him the all clear and wont have issues in the future. As i mentioned before he was not expected to play at all this year and ha done nothing in pre season and lost alot of conditioning due to extended time in hospital and recovery. But still managed to play 10 games this year.

Jack is a beauty and will be a 200+ game player

The tigers are gonna have to release some players this season. Whose it gonna be? Your list is 'stacked'! Is Rance playing next year? Hows your salary cap? Why would player stay at Richmond if they can't get a game? J. Higgins isn't in your best 22, Caddy isn't in your best 22. Hence why they weren't selected on Friday evening.

100% Stack is a gun I had him rated as a first rounder in the draft. Absolutely gutted SOS picked BSOS before Stack. It was clear as day Stack was a top talent. All credit to Richmond but Stack would flourish at Carlton.

Yes as all teams will and as we have in the past couple of years. Broad looks to be going to GC , Rance will be delisted as he does not look like coming back now
Houli has also been mentioned around the traps but we also have players like Miller , English ,Naish , Markov and as you mentioned Caddy before Higgins

Why would player stay at Richmond if they can't get a game?
Higgins has played 43 games since being drafted and 10 this year even though he was not expected to play any whilst recovering Stack also played 9 and would have played again if not for the Covid breach. He is a massive talent and has been sensational in his 1st year but the covid break did not agree with him and didnt put in the work required whilst games were stopped. But no doubting his talent and ability. I would be extremely dissapointed if the club let him go just because of the covid breach

Chances of Rance playing next year are extremely low to nothing imo , Richmond also probably dont want him to comeback as our defence is set and Balta has fitted in perfectly. Salary cap was fine when Lynch arrived and with Rance retiring early has provided more room in the cap in 2020/2021 seasons with Rance contract settled 2019 with his retirment. Richmond has also been linked to B.Crouch & A. Saad and with Broad leaving i think we are fine.

J. Higgins isn't in your best 22, Caddy isn't in your best 22. Hence why they weren't selected on Friday evening.
Both players were injured and unavailable for selection , Josh Caddy would 100% have played instead of Chol on friday as the 2nd foward but he got a knee injury in the Crows game and had pulled up short but you are correct he is on the fringe now with Lynch taking the 2nd Key Foward role but is still in the best 25 so with injuries he comes straight into the team.

Higgins would also have played and was lighting it up in the scrimmage game kicking 3 goals until half way in the 2nd and got a calf injury that has put him out or 2 weeks . We may still see him if tigers make the GF

Teams need 25-30 ready to go players to compete in a season and no point throwing away players like Higgins,Stack who both are probably on min wages to get late picks to draft kids who most likely are nowhere near the talent to save $150-$200k

Out of curiosity, would you entertain a trade of Higgins for Cunningham?
Personally i wouldnt , I think we have seen cunningham enough to see what his ceiling is and its about Jack Higgins current level but Jack has alot more upside as a midfielder and 2 years younger. Cunningham will be 24 years old at the start of the 2021 season and usually they are what you see at that age but may improve with the team improving but i would rather keep Higgins than Cunningham

Seriously what is with this bullshit about private school boys not being good footballers?
Private school boys who never worked out that it was there parents money that got them there and not there own think they are special and act like dickheads.
Public school boys who have a chip on there shoulder and think they deserved more act like dickheads.

Any other normal rational person who isn't a pretentious twat/ judgemental loser realises that the difference between private and public finishes the moment school finishes.

Thats not always the situation with the AFL boys

Both my daughters went to MGGS (Melbourne Girls Grammar) and we were able to send them there because they are 8 years apart and we only had 2 there at min years and basically my wife's total salary went straight to the school but we just valued their education above a holiday house or 2 exotic cars we probably could have purchased.

But alot of the AFL boys who come from private schools get scouted at years 5-6 and get offered scholarships of free education and the school has certain people that fund their other expenses like travel and sports equipment etc. 1 Kid i remember who was the brother of my daughters friend who both brother and sister got the scholarship's were Jay Kennedy Harris who played for Melbourne and he was offered the scholarship and sister received an indigenous scholarship

Only roughly 20-30% of private school kids actually come from extremely Rich families and most are kids who's parents run successful family businesses or have good paying jobs.

Fair enough. I disagree and think he wouldbe a jet in the Tigers system but there you go. Are there any players on our list you would actually want at the Tigs?

As I said, it's only the ones that don't realize it is the folks money that turn into dickheads.
My daughter is at a public school, I went to an alternative private school. Half of my friends are from public stock, the other half from private and you would not be able to tell the difference. The only people that care about that shit once school ends are the elitest scum at the private end and the jelous scum at the public end.

There should be more judgement going on, not less, it's just trendy now days to think otherwise. You just have to know where to direct it.

Yeah plenty
Harry , Charlie , Martin , Cripps , Dekoning ,Wietering ,Walsh , Docherty , Kemp , Fisher ,
Stocker & Philp possibles Dow is another player that has the attributes but not sure about his mental ability to tough it out when it counts

Last night i seen a kid which just screams big time player (Daicos) I have not seen this type of skill and confidence in Dow (yet) But your not pick #3 in a strong draft for no reason.

I'd say you're on the money in your valuations.
No one overestimates a Carlton player like a Carlton supporter. Some people on here are ridiculous.

That said, I often wonder how players would go in a different system. Think people would be surprised how much more effective our 'average' players can be

Fisher is 1 player in particular to use as an example , He would be a very very different player playing for Richmond in the Shane Edwards role
playing between HF and Mid

Yep.
Edwards would be pretty rubbish elsewhere too though.
I think the system suits him well.

Not too sure about Edwards being rubbish elsewhere , He has played wing/HF/FP/Midfield
He also played some games in 2017 off halfback when houli was injured and Short not ready and had a sensational 2-3 games and was BOG in 1 of them.

He is an extremely smart footballer and adapts to positions and situations very well , I see that in Fisher as well

Agree to disagree.
I do agree with you re Higgins though, great footy brain.
Anyway, I'm done.
Night all :thumbsu:

I went to a private school I know how it works... Pathways into every industry are much easier for private school students.

100% SOS was a terrible recruiter

SOS may have had his issues with leadership and communication etc.. But he was never a terrible recruiter.

For the history buffs here, I liken it to how Winston Churchill was the PM England needed during war (not saying war is comparable, just using it to explain my point) due to his rigid, unwavering personality style needed to get through the tough times. In the same vein, SOS was the List Manager we needed to have, to make the tough calls and 'gut' the playing list, and set the course.
Like Churchill when peace came, and SOS when recruitment had been completed, and man management and development took precedence, a different personality type and skill set was needed.

SOS is not a terrible recruiter, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him don the Kangaroo colours for what will be, a similar recruitment and development path to ours over the next few years..
