Yeah OK some sort of conspiracy theory - AFL just make stuff up.

Frawley's contract in 2014 was $550k a year for 4 years - and prior to the last Channel 7 contract which saw the annual payment increase by 40% - so more than $750k per annum in todays money.

Add the fact that he was 25 (for the purposes of the calculation) makes Pick 3 understandable.

I'm just saying it's possible.
I don't think conspiracy is the right analogy.

IMO no, leader and still a really good forward

Not a chance. Membrey is so underrated here by some. He didn’t have his best year, but his goal returns most years is terrific for a player of his type. He’s a leader. Can play deep or up the ground. Takes a good mark. He’s an important player to us. I’m keen on Caldwell, but he hasn’t proven anything and we definitely wouldn’t need to give up Membrey to get him.

Firstly, doubt Membrey would agree to leave Victoria.

And I wouldn't do it. Membrey voted best clubman, a reliable goal kicker and likely to either be Captain or Vice-Captain next year.

I don’t really get the Mihocek stuff. He’s a good player, but he’d cost a fair bit picks wise and he is pretty similar to Membrey.

Caldwell is uncontracted. They won’t be in a position to be demanding any players, let alone contracted members of our leadership group.

Outside of ruckman, they’re in desperate need of a midsized fwd.

I know this is just a hypothetical question, but yeah no way in hell. Membrey is a proven leader of the club & a really reliable player - I honestly hope he stays with us until the end of his career, a great clubman and a strong player for the club. Super underrated throughout the competition thats for sure!

With Clark moving to the midfield (please) there's a spot on a half back flank. I'd like to trial him there, think he'd be excellent

The one trait that worries all teams is pace. Blistering speed that cuts through lines and zones.

Hind is an impact player. He can bob up and electrify in just one play, which changes the tone and flow of a game.

As quiet as he can be, I’d absolutely keep him. Any good team can carry an impact player. You just never know when he will make something happen.

I don't understand recruiting Mihocek to play in defence when I don't believe he's played there much in the seniors.

Surely with Wilkie, Coffield and Paton we're set for small / mid sized defenders...

The way I see it. Crouch is to us as what Prestia was to the Tiges when he left GC at the end of 2016. Was that extra cog in the midfield to help Martin/Cotchin/Edwards

Keen to get him in as a defender?? Seems strange given how successful he has been as a forward and untried as a defender at AFL level ... I’d love to get him in to play forward though ..

Membrey left Sydney to join the Saints. No way he is heading north again.

Plus best clubman etc this year. He has done the hard years at the Saints and wants to be part of our success.
