If we moved Brown on at 28, I can't imagine we take another 28 yo to replace him. Probably on a similar length contract. Who's not in the same ball park for output.

We would if we got one first rder plus some for brown.... bring in miochek try to get McDonald in the draft... continue to dev Mac and comb while we have miochek...they take over in a couple of years... all ifs and options

Wouldn't be the same ballpark in terms of wages either. Mihocek is a very good player and won't get the paycheck at Collingwood he will get elsewhere given they have loaded up on their top-end guys. If you ended up with Mihocek and a first-rounder for Brown then you wouldn't be too unhappy.

My preference is to keep Brown though as I believe we are building the sort of midfield that can help him thrive.

When I hear honest and hardworking I break out in a sweat. Mihocek is honest but he's been serviced by arguably one of the best midfields in the comp. BBB somehow crafted 180 goals over 3 years serviced by arguably the worst midfield in the comp and drawing the best defender every week. No chance.

Personally I'd get both... both half backs yes but one damaged with run the other with run and foot and also Williams can play midfield too...would have to trade though for saad so that's where it gets tricky
