Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

Three years, and every minor period of success we've had during that period has conveniently coincided with Chad playing very well

He clearly loves the club, his teammates, is capable of the incredible and has a huge impact whenever his body is right and he can play 75% in the midfield.

He wears his emotion on his sleeves and is committed and passionate about the club and his football, and wants to make those around him better.

He's also very intelligent and will (if he wants) take over the unofficial mantle of indigenous ambassador for the club and any help mentor any of the younger lads coming through who may be moving from interstate (indigenous or otherwise).

Bugger all? Rubbish
Yeah, but apart from all that... he's done bugger all...

Based on what Cleary and Browne said on their little 7news update GWS are trying to push Hill elsewhere than Essendon

wonder if a Gunston would interest them in a similar type of trade despite him not being a small forward
Not directed at Chad, and I'm glad he's going to be a Hawk next year, but player movement would be a whole lot easier if clubs could trade contracted players without their agreement... Not sure if I'm in the minority but I think it's a better model. It's very tedious as it is.

The ultimate chess game continues, everyone is quick to jump off a player.

The clubs want's to go in a firm direction and change the set-up, we can all agree on that!
Teams will look at Sicily,Wingard first out of the quartet (Tom,Jom) they are the match winners.

Ultimately if the right deals come thru the club will pull the trigger, with the proviso the player agrees.
I really hope we don't lose both or one off Sic,Wingard. I think the con's outweigh the pro's unless its heavily tailored to us.
Both these guys make the side better in there respected positions, both play Dual positions, i don't have see any replacements on the list for them.
As opposed to two guys who play prodimently on ball, Haven't exceled together in the same side, and could prevent players from the rotation.

Well then, if anyone sees that and still thinks we should push out Chad, they are a moron.

Do not @ me nor quote me, morons.

Does that include Sam?

I'm not saying Sam would push Chad to leave, or anyone else, but clearly Sam and the club are happy to look at moving him on for the right offer.

I still think that we have more of a chance sending JOM or TOM to Perth. Freo have picks 6 and 8. So a TOM +24 for 6 or a JOM+24 for 8 is more reasonable and possible if those boys have any pull from Perth. Also if Freo are losing Cerra they might want some immediate list improvement than waiting 2 years for a first rounder to develop (though I guess Serong was pretty amazing in his first year

Yes any any salesmen knows a no just means a maybe. They have 3 days to pitch an offer to Chad, guarantee they ask again.
Now is when we should get into Wolfie's ear. "Hey Chad, GWS are gonna probably try and convince you to come over. If you do change your mind we want the best deal for Hawthorn and won't be entertaining a deal that isn't to our benefit (i.e. we want Pick 2)."

Haha, fair enough.

But the point remains, the club was/is happy to entertain it.

afaik it was more GWS reaching out to us, we asked Chad the question, he said no, end of conversation

it would be just as moronic NOT to listen to offers for our players

but not much point in entering bargaining negotiations when the player doesn't want to leave

if they come back again with a better offer (that involves pick 2), then I'm sure the process will repeat itself

The club would be neglecting their duty if they didn't entertain offers for all of our players.

The reports are that GWS approached us as a replacement for Hill.

but you run with your incredible insight there Earl Syncopation

Haha.

It hasn't be widely reported we were open to offers for anyone over 26?

Our president didn't send an email to members asking for trust in what actions may be taken? As bizarre as it was.

The club has come out on the front foot and said Chad isn't available?
