AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Damn! Would prefer it if we got Sinn.
I couldn't remember the previous draft that was done over two nights think it was 2019. You are probably right thought as recruiters do tend to drag it out by using their full minutes.Tomorrow night will be a lot quicker compared to tonight.
Tonight will be about stretching the entire night over a couple of hours.
It may have, but the uncertainty for AFC and more importantly for Jordan would have not been a great way to handle bringing in a new player. Who's to say that North couldn't convince him to sign on short term and back themselves to keep him? The risk was probably too great to take that gamble.Greenwood/North was mutual interest though. Dawson had made it clear he wanted to come to Adelaide, which could have lessened North's interest in taking him.
I think they've been asked to by the AFL...plus you have the additional time to let offers come inI couldn't remember the previous draft that was done over two nights think it was 2019. You are probably right thought as recruiters do tend to drag it out by using their full minutes.

Yeah guess it's for the added theatrics as well so makes sense the AFL would do that.I think they've been asked to by the AFL...plus you have the additional time to let offers come in
destination club.Rejoice everyone, Dumont is off to Port!
It's not the recruiters dragging it out, at least not most of the time. Particularly for the first round, those delays are caused by the AFL, wanting to drag it out as much as possible.I couldn't remember the previous draft that was done over two nights think it was 2019. I'm sure Collingwood regrets taking that ex Basketballer.... What's his name again ?? Pendleworth or somethingPicking an ex soccer player small forward with Pick 4 is akin to draft suicide. Will set us back no end. Cannot happen. Will kill my interest also if it does and I will be happy to field regret stories with you all in years to come. I've been on here while.
Picking an ex soccer player small forward with Pick 4 is akin to draft suicide, up there with Gold Coast taking the Freo swimsuit model with pick 2 the other year. Will set us back no end. Cannot happen. Will kill my interest also if it does and I will be happy to field regret stories with you all in years to come. I've been on here a while and seen all our stuff ups, but this one.......
Aside from a 6X AA and Premiership captain and Norm Smith, he hasnt done much.I'm sure Collingwood regrets taking that ex Basketballer.... What's his name again ?? Pendleworth or something
The 180 cm small forward basketballer? Missed my point Sir.I'm sure Collingwood regrets taking that ex Basketballer.... What's his name again ?? Pendleworth or something
Wow.Picking an ex soccer player small forward with Pick 4 is akin to draft/list management suicide, up there with Gold Coast trading for the Freo swimsuit model with pick 2 the other year. Will set us back no end. Cannot happen. Will kill my interest also if it does and I will be happy to field regret stories with you all in years to come. I've been on here a while and seen all our stuff ups, but this one.......

And he went at what, pick 3?Alan Didak was into his soccer before footy, i think.
Right, so anything that is said to contradict your opinion you discount, no wonder you think you are rightBecause it's a hypothetical .....never going to happen, so a recruiter can say anything they like
They're not going to run any player down ....they'll say of course we'd love to have Darcy & Daicos ....which the Crows may bid on, but knowing its for nought
Thanks for that mate. RU OK?Wow.
Feel free to lose all interest and never return
GWS are taking Callaghan even though I wouldn't be surprised if he's at the dogs within 3 years. The smarter option would be to trade with us but I see the sticking point being them not giving up 13 in a 4 and 2022 1st for 2 and 13 scenario.Reality is we just don't have the draft capital I don't think.
To get pick 2 from GWS, we would need to give pick 4 + maybe a 2022 second round pick (although they would get better offers than that).
If we did get that, we would need to give up Pick 2, + 2022 1st round, + 2023 first round pick (not sure if even legal) to get pick 1. Even that won't be enough.
Just asking for a friend..how would that be smart for us if you think he will be at the dogs in 3 years time?GWS are taking Callaghan even though I wouldn't be surprised if he's at the dogs within 3 years. I like your non group think style.Picking an ex soccer player small forward with Pick 4 is akin to draft/list management suicide, up there with Gold Coast trading for the Freo swimsuit model with pick 2 the other year. IMO ....unless the player you take is markedly better than the player of need ....I think we can agree Callaghan fits that descriptionRight, so anything that is said to contradict your opinion you discount, no wonder you think you are right
As for GWS overlooking an AA KPD in Gibcus when its a need?
