Bolton will sign with the Tigers...this is a scenario born of a journalist contemplating/assuming the player's intentions, based on the simple fact he is electing to focus on the season at hand, and negotiate a contract later in the year.

No reason to go to the trade table this year.

Bolton would cost a 1st, which would be irresponsible list management.

If Cerra leaves, grab the picks that will get us Van Rooyen (early 1st) and Williams (late 1st/early 2nd).

As much as I want Cerra to stay, this would soften the blow for mine.

Surely Brayshaw and Tabs would be up there

I am not on the same page with this, I agree that we should not trade for Bolton this year but that is only if we re-sign our OOC best 22 players. If Cerra requests a trade then we do need to consider trading Bolton in, because it is too costly to trade a 4th year top 10 player for a 1st year player, the time invested is far too costly and will set us back literally 4 years of training.

Fair enough.

I'm not as keen on Bolten as others.

In the universe where there is a Bolton/Cerra trade, perhaps it also includes our second for one of their firsts. I think the players would be closely rated with Cerra a little in front.

As of now we currently have picks 13 and 32 according to the AFL 🤢. Surely the AFL would give us a priority pick for not making finals 6 seasons in a row given the Saints and Eagles are ahead of us... We ain't getting Van Rooyen with those picks.

Anyone keen on the idea of targeting Esava Ratugolea? Out of contact at years end, isn’t getting a gig at Geelong “has been injured” but still don’t think he plays much. He fits the age bracket, Gives us something we need and has
Big potential!

Big spud.

I could live with it for a future 4th on minimum wage as backup if nothing else presents, but I wouldn't be guaranteeing him games.

No thanks. Terrible decision maker in clutch moments. Seen it a few times now.

Not a hope in hell. We are simply doing what should happen - spend a few years getting top 10 picks then rise up the ladder. We just need to pick 2 guns with those 2 picks. Very possible.

Probably behind Lobb so would be depth with us too but at least would put pressure on Lobb to perform and it’s depth that we currently don’t have. Would Geelong be thinking of him as a Hawkins replacement?

Those two picks could always be packaged together for say...pick 6?

That's ok there are another 3 key position sized kids from WA who are performing quite well.
