In a rebuild and long overdue list clean out I don't think this is too surprising. It stings a little, but its a accurate representation of where we we're at in 2021.

For what its worth I could see Doedee, ROB and Laird all pushing these categories next year in their respective positions. Hopefully some young chargers give it a nudge as well, but in reality I see our 1-4 year players still a good step below this echelon presently.

He's a board member though and I think he still has another year or two left to go on his term, so unless he's walking I don't think they can get rid of him? I'm pretty sure Kym Ryder (member rep position) is up this year, but I doubt he has enough influence to be a big deal if he left.

It's always messy using that "elite" term cause they go by position. So by Champion Data standards Steven Motlop is an elite player, but Travis Boak or Robbie Gray aren't.

Yeah I don't take much notice of the list but it's not surprising the position we are in.

Yep, also if sample size isn't a factor in measuring 'Elite Players' then Ben Rutten should have retired after his first 3 kicks! Would have been in the top 23 for goals per game, and had the greatest goal to behind ratio in AFL history (well, equal at least).

So really his next 228.25 games just watered down what should have been a HOF career!

Not too worried, Rob, Laird and Doedee if fit will all make it this year. No real superstar talent on our list is the real issue. Maybe a case for Thilt.

Not really concerned with this at all. There's quite a few on our list that will turn into elite players once they gain experience by playing games.
