Losing Xerri and handing us pick 17! Wow!
Where were you yesterday?? Lol

You coming here does beg the question - why? Are you upset? Feeling agrieved? I assume so. Listen, dont worry about it. He’s a fringe player. He may not turn into anything anyway. Be happy and go on living your life.

I set you free.

Trading Xerri makes no sense. We need depth in our tall stocks.

And don't give me Edwards and Comben who have a royal 1 AFL game between them.

I don’t see it with Xerri. He might get there as a full time ruck but he’s done nothing that’s ever really jumped out at me. Pruess showed more imo. There’s a reason we’re going after CCJ. We wouldn’t be if we were confident in X. I know that’s harsh but it’s league footy.

I’m with you.

Want him to make it but I’ve never seen enough to suggest he has the tools and height to be what he needs to be in the AFL.

I honestly wonder if him giving away so many free kicks hurt him.

Agreed. Let's trade Goldy instead.

Suppose Nobes sees Xerri coming out of the locker room and takes one look at him, and he goes: 'Oh, my God. I've been playing the old bull, now I want the young calf.' And he tells Brady to trade Goldy to GWS with pick 40 for pick 13.

Xerri stinks. I'd flick him in a heart beat

Pardon the intrusion but how many list spots do you have? Asking for a friend, surname Reid
We started with 43 on the list and need to drop to 42
We have 4 delisted so far. + Tarrant leaving.
4 more without contracts.
3 picks for the draft + CCJ coming in.

North’s offer not on for McPherson

JON RALPH
NORTH Melbourne will not offer more than a two-year contract for Darcy McPherson in a deal that could also see it secure Gold Coast’s pick 19 and absorb his $400,000 salary next year.

The unique trade would see the Suns hand over the cherished pick to help clear cap space but also receive a North Melbourne future second-rounder in what amounts to a salary cap dump for the Suns.

McPherson is happy to stay at the Suns and honour his one-year deal and would only move to Arden St if he was handed a three-season deal.

The Roos are keen to be a part of the deal given they have said they believe 23- year-old McPherson could fit into their forward line as a clever pressuring forward.

But his demand for a three-year deal could scuttle the deal and see him playing out the last year of his contract in 2022.

wow, he's sounds like he's confident of getting another gig beyond 2022! Wouldn't want to go getting injured and missing a chunk of 2022.

You can say he’s a list clogger or whatever you want to say but end of the day we were the worst pressure team in the league. It’s not flashy, but if we’re getting rid of guys like Dumont, we’re gonna need more guys willing to work hard and do the ugly stuff. I don’t think he’s best 22, but when Mahony went down for the last 2 games of the season we put on literally zero pressure in the front half, except for maybe the 2nd half vs Sydney.

We are 18th, not every player needs to be a world beater, MacPherson is similar to Young in that he’s not too old, can’t get games, but one aspect of his game is something we really lack, so he adds to competition for spots and he he gets his other aspects better he can be a good player for us.

The real reason people don’t like it is because we’ve all done our best 22s and if this guy does get a gig, it will probably be at the expense of one of our young guns. But I’m sorry if they can’t get in the side over MacPherson, they probably do need time in the VFL.

Now onto the future 2nd, if it’s a future 2nd we use in the deal, I think we will try to regain a future 2nd through other pick swaps on draft night so shouldn’t worry straight away saying we lost the trade.

Are we getting rid of Dumont though? maybe! In my humble opinion not that it counts for anything players need to understand free agency works both ways. Its great for aging stars, but for guys who are good honest players, not accepting a contract from their existing club to explore free agency options run a very big risk, that no-one is interested and in turn they either are out on their ass, or left with no option but to accept a minimal contract as that's what the market has ultimately determined they are worth.

If we commit to CCJ in the PSD we only need to take 2 draft picks.
So that is a chance.
Nah we’d still need to take 3 picks in the national draft but that can include promoting a rookie if we want or just 3 new picks

we’d just have to have 4 senior list vacancies so that we can take CCJ also after in the PSD

Nope.
Its was posted in here a few weeks ago.
Committing to a player in the PSD counts as 1.
