10th to 15th (Nth, WC and Ess) likely to remain below us.

Haw, Adel, GCS, GWS to be around us.

Nth or Ess to take Lemmey
WCE local with Busslinger or KPF for life after JK
Crows to take Keeler given if he is bidded on before their own selection they can't match, but they can still grab him with their pick yeah?
Leaves hopefully Scully for us.

Scully or Busslinger would be a great outcome for us, I think you're right about Keeler, too much upside and home town safety for the Crows not to take him

Personally I like Jefferson but as long as we are targeting a KPP early I would be happy.

Adelaide may take Scully and hope Keeler slides to pick 25.
Port may finish below us.

Early Phantom draft is up and running.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind Jefferson. While he is shorter thna the others, apparantely plays taller than he appears.

Fair enough. Just my opinion.

I'll have to watch a bit more of him.
FWIW I agree with you, very lead and mark centric as it stands. Probably harsh to expect a 200cm+ kid to be dangerous at ground level, but he does at times just not even bother trying which is a bit concerning considering he'll likely be selected early in the draft, not great defensively and plays mostly out of the square for the time being (could be endurance related) so there's a bit to work on, but when you're kicking as many as he does that's pretty exciting given you'd expect him to have a well developed game for those sorts of numbers. Biggest test will be in the champs when he comes up against some proper KPD sized prospects, think that will be the biggest factor in his draft position from now

Isn't Scully a Crows hometown boy too? Who knows if their recruiters will favour either of them.

Like you I loved Keelers highlights at the end of last year and would be excited, but they're just highlights.

Isn't Keeler NGA? There doesnt need to be bids if it's with in the top 40 and Adelaide have no rights I think? Makes NGA fairly pointless if the player is any good.

Scully still named in U18 team this weekend.

Harry Lemmey dropped from League to Reserves..
Lemmey's team got truly smacked in his most recent game. Not sure he could have done much to change that, but it's hard to say.

Scully will probably kick another bag of 7

Lemmey was quiet last week. No goals and only a couple of touches, so fair enough. But thought they would persist.

Probably, Scully surely needs to be upgraded, he is just bullying the U18 defenders lol

I don't think it's doing anyone any favours. He is clearly just too good and too big for juniors, and I doubt he can develop much if he dominates every week

Exactly. At least put him in reserves to see how he goes above the U18 level.

Jeffersons kicking for goal has a touch of the Travis cloke's about it, don't know if I can't take another 10 years of a gun forward who can't kick straight

If he can kick 50+ a year I'll manage. We pine over Max King and Aaron Naughton when they kick it just as waywardly as Trav did

True it is a weakness in his game.
Aaron Cadman has similar issues from the little I have watched.

However these guys are the most likely KPF to be available at our first pick with Lemmey gone top 5 the only other option would be Tom Scully who I have voiced my concerns over.

With Jefferson and Cadman IMO they have shown the can take contested marks, lead multiple times, follow up on the ground and lay defensive tackles. I would rather these types even with their accuracy issues.

LAND OF THE GIANTS

West Adelaide key-forward Harry Lemmey is the early pick to be the first tall taken in a draft set to be dominated by the big men, but he’s now facing competition from inside his own four walls.

After a blistering start to the SANFL under-18 season, Bloods teammate Tom Scully is rising up draft boards quickly.

The mobile 204cm forward, who spent time in the ruck during his bottom-age season, has booted a remarkable 33 goals in the opening six rounds of the under-18 competition – 13 more than any other player.

With his height and reach, Scully has been unstoppable in the air, taking 24 contested marks in six matches. The next-best player has 16.

The 17-year-old’s running patterns make him equally as hard to stop on the lead, too, with Scully recording a total of 39 marks inside-50.

And his ability to win the ball at ground level for a player of his standing has also impressed onlookers so far in 2022.

“The potential for Tom to continue to develop over the next 12 to 24 months is quite big,” West Adelaide under-18 coach Paul Streatfield told The Advertiser.

“It’s pretty unusual to find someone as tall as him that is as co-ordinated with their kicking, but also as good at ground level as what he is.

“There’s no obvious gap in his game and I don’t think he’s yet worked out exactly how good he could be.”

It’s set to be a big another draft for the Bloods - the club that delivered Riley Thilthorpe to the Crows in 2020 - with 18-year-old Kobe Ryan named to make his senior debut on Saturday.

The classy midfielder has followed on from his standout bottom-age season to average 156 Champion Data ranking points at under-18 level this year, and looms as a first-round contender.

Skillful ruckman Harry Barnett is another West Adelaide tall on the radar.

The impression I get is that they don't seem to play the under 18 kids in the reserves very often - they seem to be either u18s or seniors. Could be wrong, but if not, I'm not sure why that would be.

Edit: Eg. the article above mentions Kobe Ryan about to make his senior debut and I'm pretty sure his name came up a week ago regarding performance in the u18 team - in an article about Scully.
