Well Serong got 9 coaches votes and Brayshaw 6 for that game so it seems the coaches though the game was won by the midfielders. Acres still had a good game but yeah he plays well when the the mids play well. Which is why you don't pay 900k for a wingman...St Kilda.Yeah idk. Against hawthorn nothing was going our way and he was the only one keeping us in it. I do think at times he is good enough to influence the game himself.
But clearly the club thinks they have the means to replace him so.
Where the players aren’t. The side with space
Mitch cleary reported on 7 newsWhere’s the official Acres request?
You may never be wrong, but you're also a d*ck!Entirely appropriate, I am never wrong.
He can't run it however he want's to, and he doesn't have "power of attorney" - how misguided can you get in one post.
Not how it works champ.
Exactly. Jackson is better suited to the ‘skinny’ side which would be down the line to use his height (and supposed marking prowess) to advantage.Cheers.
Then why the frick would someone suggest we put Jackson there? That's a Brad Hill/Freddy domain. A big fella like Jackson can operate in traffic.
so 16 games a season. Then take into account games missed with injury. Sounds like a perfectly reasonable amount of games to play in 7 seasons.Fox sports is so s**t. This on Tucker
“The 25-year-old Victorian could be on the move back home, after just 108 games in seven seasons at Fremantle”
That’s a lot of game time over 7 seasons when you’re not a jet.
Cover him with who exactly? We are at a net loss by losing him. We aren't going to replicate what we did this year by blooding 2 new players in the midfield. If we are better off in the long run than so be it.Christ we are losing injury prone Blake Acres after half a good season not Caleb Serong.
We'll cover him with someone and survive.

In what way? Just curious on this as many where happy yesterday to find out his deal would have been largely performance based?Nor for Lobb.
Really annoyed with how Bell and co handled Acres.
When Acres has his best season after his first off season putting in elite effort and then doesn't want a contract rewarding elite effort in the off-season leading to performance instead opting for the guaranteed pay - I understand the choice.
I also expect Carlton to get business as usual Blake
Pretty sure they showed Mac Andrews management doing just that in documentary on last year's trade period.I'm saying that players sign a power of attorney to empower their manager (agent) to handle their dealings and agreements with clubs and the AFL, and they also sign that power to business managers who make their financial decisions for them.
Not all of them engage a controlling manager but some of the player agents advise their more, let's say athletically gifted and academically developing players to protect their futures with a business manager who acts like a conservator.
That won’t happen. Some
People mature between the ears late. He’s clearly a late bloomer in terms of work ethic. I don’t expect he’ll regress, if anything he’ll progress. His finals form and early season form have been elite. We blame his poor inside 50s on him, when our forwards are shithouse winning one on ones. Same thing use to happen with Langdon. Then suddenly he’s a gun T Melbourne. Very annoying.

They would be using it on a young player which is grounds for approval anywayI keep reading that the Eagles will need to get AFL permission to use their pick 2 in a trade if they want to get involved in the Jackson stakes. Why in hell would the AFL ever agree to that as it would set a precedent and what justification is there, because they only won a premiership in 2018 so they are so disadvantaged, their Administration and Management used the picks and should have to abide by the draft rules.

Wrong account there bud?I am never wrong.
Yet they are claiming it's not an option - what else can they offer? They would be using it on a young player which is grounds for approval anyway
There are no grounds for approval. Rules are rules, they aren't allowed to trade it as it stands. What grounds are there? They would be using it on a young player which is grounds for approval anyway
