I have no idea what you’re on about Guido

That’s how it appears on my end.

Sorry folks, I’ve reconsidered my stance on Schache and I say get him in.

“At 25 years of age, he stands at 271cm and 94kg, that makes him a key forward.”

Bit too much of a beanpole though. We'll need to get him on the charcoal chicken diet.

Griff did come across as a bit of a douche on the podcasts. Especially the one with Noddy. I dont get all the grief with him going. He was borderline best 22 and we invested heavily to pick him and get his body right. He never repayed that investment so for me, he is a bust. Catch ya Griff...bit over ya champ.
What did you think of their interview with Acres? He seemed disconnected to me. He talked about how he had dreamed about being a “one club man” and was unhappy when he was made to leave St Kilda to make room for Hill.
Even though he was from WA, seems he never really wanted to come home.

Soft or not, that would be hard to defend. Still probably wouldn't get any armchop frees here.

gee imagine the leg room he'd need on the planes, would have to remove two rows of seats to fit him in

I'm hearing lots of talk about hearing how internal improvements won't be enough to keep pace with sides like Brisbane and Collingwood trading in.

Our internal improvement will be so far ahead of sides like that it's not even comparable.

Look at the jump Brayshaw made this year, next year it's highly likely he's competing with Serong for the brownlow.

Look at Young. Chapman could easily end up over taking Young next year given where they have both been at comparable ages of their careers. If Chapman makes the same jump Young made this year it would be a joke.

Clark is only 21. Walker still a teenager.

O'Driscall could be absoloutly anything after another pre season.

I could go through about every player on our list and give reasons why they might improve. Even Walters last couple of months were better then anything he has show for two years. Imagine if Fyfe fires.

Now I am just as keen to improve with trades as everyone else. I just wanted to make a point about how much improvement I expect to see next season. The jump we made this season was just the start.

It's only Logue I am worried about losing, Alex Pearce's ankles are held together by fairy dust and angel hairs, if he goes down what do we do? Yes Ryan maybe can fill in as a tall for a few weeks or Chapman. Hamling's body is failing him and he is a shadow of his former self ( which was a super player for the record). I think if Jackson comes then Lobb leaves we can operate with Tabs, Amiss and then Jackson & Fyfe going through the forward line often in the 22 with Sturt and Banfield potentially as back ups. I would then look to see if Treacy can play as a back during the pre season and then he can become the Logue of 2022 if we need support down back he can help out, if not he can compete as a fwd.

I don't think the world is closing but what are the chances injuries are as kind to us in 2023? Our depth is young and we will likely be fine but I am not sure we can simply blame Colin Young (who is an absolute grub) for players leaving every season.
If Peace goes down I'm comfortable with Chapman taking the 2nd tall. He'll have another preseason in him.

seriously, young is going to be our best player next year, he really picked up towards the end of our season i reckon serong the same i reckon and with the taste of finals theyll be pushed to go even harder next year

amiss could very well kick 30 himself, sturt could finally have a run at it, freddies become a dead eye and a lot less sloppy with his touches, build chappy up a bit more and were sitting pretty for a long time

I am surprised that Jordan DeGoey has been about to sign a deal with the Pies for so long and yet hasn't signed.

They are being protected from the media circus that he is a free agent and someone else has his attention.
No one wants to leak their interest in him and cop the flak, it’s one thing signing a creep, it’s another to want to sign him and get rejected publicly

We were like a point off being a top 4 side this year and now you think we have to wait another 4-5 years to be a top side, I don't think so.

I hope I am wrong. But we were also a point from 6th (which is where our % ranked us) and Richmond might have knocked us out. Did people think Hawthorn would take 5 years to win another one after they were 17-5 in 2008? If it has happened before, it can happen again.

And by top side, I mean genuine grand final side. I think 2 years of 5th-10th, 2 years of top 4, and then into that prime range. Years 3-4 we could of course snag one, but I won't be surprised if it takes longer.

That's why Logue to North, assuming he is adamant about forcing fair compensation for Fremantle, is key.

If North are to get extra picks this year and next and we can get hold of their future first it could be as good as pick one, probably not worse than a pick ten. Lobb and pick #3 next year gets every deal done.

But, I still think North should try and walk Logue to the PSD.
Why give something when you don't have to? Out of kindness...footy is totally ruthless, and Clarko would be at the top of the ruthless tree. The list manager would be stood down immediately.

All comes down to Logue and his manager in that regard. Personally, if I worked at North, I'd ask the question on how much would it cost in salary to walk straight to the PSD.
