A saying that involves deck chairs and the titanic comes to mind...

Don’t get it with Setters.

First year or so he was the best tackle at the club & heading in the right direction.

Since then he’s fringe 23 at best. Don’t think he’s had a major injury either.

all these people naming changes for two weeks time are getting ahead of themselves.

we still have training to get through so potentially a few more injuries

and if you think I am poking the "injury bear" with my jest, well yes I am. Its already pissed with us so I cant see how poking it further could get it anymore pissed.

He was racking up the tackle numbers last season in the VFL. Went downhill last year after being placed on the wing, and has no hurt factor in his game or output IMO. Just meanders about.

Wasn't it Cotterell's wing that we kept getting exposed on? Who was the other wing on that side?
Yea Cottrell was on Sidebottom and O'brien on Daicos. Cottrell was out of position a lot of times Pies got the turnover, Sidebottom owned that wing and so he should tbh with his experience. Learning opportunity for Cotts

Yeah. It sucks. Remember a few games him drifting forward from the wing and taking contested grabs to kick a goal. All looked peachey then.

It's really all fallen apart. Would think it has to be personal life related given the lack of major injuries for a few years.

He's old and slow. He shouldn't own it no matter his footy experience.

Just run with him and you'll negate his influence.

We need to find some decent wings in the next few seasons.

I just heard a clap of thunder followed by a very deep voice "hold my heavenly elixir".....

His tackling is reminiscent of Gibbs - follow your man to the ball, let them get it, tackle them immediately. They're not meaningful tackles, and all they achieve is ensuring a repeat stoppage. Would rather see him try and win the ball himself.

Spot on I'm afraid. A tackle is great and it's a stat but a kick is better.

Sidebottom was not treated with the respect he deserved, I’m not sure if the fault lies with the coaching panel or his direct opponent but it cost us.
