Such pessimism.
In the great halcyon days of Johnno and co...we played 'badly' in lots of games. Scraped home when we should have cruised, but made finals. won flags.
I arent saying this squad is as good as that yet (though it may well be) but such give up talk from supporters is nonsensical.

Great win, adversity early on and ran the game out solidly. Fair few chicken littles running around in the first half not seen 2nd half. hmmm.

Go Blues.
You are misinterpreting the point us Chicken Littles are making.
We are way off the mark of what's necessary from a team approaching finals.
Giants missing many players and playing away from home. We were playing for a spot in the 8 that still is no certainty.
Sydney, Footscray, Pies and other real contenders playing solid stylish footy.
We have a lot to assess and improve on.
It's the way you play and win in my book and we are looking ordinary for way too long in games.
WLWLWLWL is not a great way to be entering a difficult run to the finals.
Will need to find another couple of gears.

Far more realistic appraisal of where we are at.

We played a side who’s season is done and are playing out time, trying new things and missing a number of important players and didn’t play particularly well.

That was a pretty disorganised performance from what we have seen in the early part of the season. We might have won well in the end, but there was nothing compelling about it.

We are building as a side, our last month has been pretty ordinary though. Big test to get the team back to the kind of performances we’d produce in the early part of the season.

Plowman at 51% on the poll is ridiculous. Bloke was a rock today. The blind hate is pathetic.
Both plow and setters couldn't do anything right for a few blokes sitting near me.

Poor kick to setters and it's his fault he didn't get the ball ......

Always laughable the way some people see the players they don't like

Maybe he meant traffic was light on Royal Pde?
I'm still stuck there in traffic after an eternity.......only hope I get home for Lou's (one Pie that is OK) handball segment on the Sunday Footy Show........have I really been stuck in traffic that long?

Aint it great to discuss wins rather than losses.....:)
Thats all one can hope for. But I think this mob have got a bit left in em yet this season. Our best is yet to come for sure but winning is always good football.

have you ever reflected on the s**t that has been forced onto us at the game? that is now normalised to the point anyone who mentions that maybe it is too much is called an old codger? it's a real feeling of powerlessness as our game slides further and further into some weird americanised hybrid - just include the nba organ after every goal and brainless chants of deefense and be done with it........
Yeh I hate it.
The dimming of the lights and music isn’t required in our game, baseball and NFL have huge gaps within play in their game, therefore, inject razzmatazz.
Our game is the the G Razzamatazz

I hate the flashing lights when watching on tv, it is much better at the ground. I can see why kids would love it.

The need to have loud noise at all points the game isn't being played is what I find annoying. Can barely hear the person next to you at the qtr time breaks.

Second game I’ve been to in two years Saad is one of the best players I’ve seen in the navy is never beaten regularly beats two opponents and always finds the best option.Kennedy is warrior tackles that would cut other players in half he rides and disposes to advantage. Dekoning is really feeling comfortable great kicking game still loses strength battles one more preseason that won’t be the case. The fish was massive in the first half.Setterfieds kicking and positioning was great.I was flabbergasted with the set snaps from Cripps and McKay from 40 nice to see Cripps go the drop punt he’s a reliable kick now

They’re a different breed our kids generation.
I stood on 500 mil fosters cans with me old man’s hands at the ready to cover my ears from the colourful language.
This generation needs colours and noise to make them excited if they aren’t 100% committed.
My 11year old watched the first quarter, drifted in and out til the last 20 minutes.
She has a decent “CRIPPA…….YEAH” goin’ on though, very low note in her throat, I’m pretty proud of that!!
They are goldfish though….🤷‍♀️
