Controversial I know, but I love the Saad woof. Not because it necessarily fits, but I love that after having to play at *, he’s found a real home at the greatest club in the land, and the supporters love him. Feel good story all round
Except for * I guess, who don’t feel good, and that makes the rest of us feel better

dees are beatable...if we apply enough pressure like the doggies did
More worried about the Crows and Filth than Brisbane and Melbourne games, I think our game style matches up better against the latter… the former are both quick of foot and attacking, they move the ball cleverly along with good pressure when on…
Hopeful but nervous for this week…

Far more realistic appraisal of where we are at.

We played a side who’s season is done and are playing out time, trying new things and missing a number of important players and didn’t play particularly well.

That was a pretty disorganised performance from what we have seen in the early part of the season. We might have won well in the end, but there was nothing compelling about it.

We are building as a side, our last month has been pretty ordinary though. Big test to get the team back to the kind of performances we’d produce in the early part of the season.

I get that some people aren't completely happy with our performance, still plenty to improve, but GWS's season has been done for some time. We should have converted a couple more goals, but we won comfortably by 36 points

Their last 5 games before today. Lions by 40, Port 55, beat Hawks by 22, Pies by 11, Dogs by 20

Think our win was as convincing as most of those

Wow that Saad mark....

Neither us or the Pies are doing any damage in September.

It’s a bit of nothing in the long run - Collingwood can’t keep Bradburying forever.
Is that an absolute fact?
You are 100% certain neither us nor pies will do any damage in september?
Does that include the 1st week or only from 2nd on ...cos Ist week is actually in Sept. Isn't it?
And then ..we could or the pies could actually do damage in the 2nd week.
If we do, will you stick your fingers in your ears and go lahlalalalhlalhah?

I think it is more about that...a way of saying you are one if us.
I just kinda wish we could have given him a group hug instead.
:p

We’re tracking for 7th or 8th likely playing an Away final against the likes of Melbourne, Fremantle or Sydney. Best case we get the Pies.

I don’t think we’re getting past week 1, but happy for us to push on.

Happy for Setterfield to show some decent form. Saad crazy good. Plowman reproducEd the form of that block of games from earlier in the season. If it’s that Plowman then I’m good with that. Funny with plowman and the fact that both McGovern and Marchbank are fit again. Best concentration level yet from him.

Mcgovern looked ok while Young looked low on confidence. stalwarts like Cripps and Docherty down but they have so many credits in the bank.

TDK looked awful to me. The first half looked awful. GWS wouldn’t get within ten goals of the current Geelong side but we scraped it late. It’s the how we played for three quarters. Not about the win. I wasn’t even sure we would win late in the third given ‘how’ we were playing. It’s important in the context of finals.

In these weak opposition matches our bottom six players tend to play well confusing everyone whether they are net positive for the season.

I know, put my head in the sand, forget what I really saw, and celebrate the win.

Go blues.

I care where it is a noisy, flashing disco themed nightmare for anyone who wants to enjoy the game. It is entrenched in superfluous american style razzamatazz that will be gils legacy. The fun police? Get a grip........take the kids to disneyworld if you wanna experience all the amazing specatcle of flashing lights and plastic rubbish themed inanity.
Or maybe the AFL is "plastic rubbish themed inanity".

A brilliant post. Spot on in every single way.

Years ago I was in the US and went and saw the Chicago Bulls play Toronto at the United Centre (that’s the name of their home court, isn’t it? I’m not the world’s biggest basketball fan). At half time, they had a toddler crawling competition. I feel like we aren’t far from that in the AFL.
Happened at an AFL game recently - saw it on the Front Bar

I was wondering who the sensory room at marvel is for.....now we know
