I said the same. Apparently he was leaning in the car so didn’t see his head - focus more on Doedee and obviously the polo - as they were entering into airport

You couldn't miss that head if it was there.
Sounds like someone else. Probably Clarko.

We need at least 4 list spaces: one for Rankine, and at least 3 for draft picks / rookie elevations (Strachan and Butts?). We're currently running one short on the senior list so if we're prepared to go up to the max, we only need to create 3 places.

- And that's assuming we only make one selection at the draft. Take 2 selections, and now we need 5 spots.

Point being - we can trade out Frampton and McAsey, but that's just a start on what we need, we need to use those - limited - list spots wisely.
I think the crows are using the 'trade contracted players and pay thier wage for better draft exchange' loop whole thingy.

If this is the case, list spots will free up as we trade out contracted players.

Makes sense given our cap space, but you’d hope that is the strategy and we aren’t pushing them out the door to free up spots and get shitty picks.

Get that, mate. The point was that Francis would offer defensive depth in the event McAsey and Frampton left. No argument that the club should chase him at all costs... The natural link to SA was being discussed in the thread and I added my $0.02.

No one knows what's happening with the list yet. Heck, Rankine may still change his mind... Just like our good friend Mr Francis did after requesting a trade a few years back.

Oh, I agree. But we don't need to be trading out contracted players to use those list spots on depth, or anything that doesn't clearly make us better. The first few trade outs will be to free up spots for the draft, or trade ins or FAs of clear quality.

ROB is the worst kick in the AFL. We need to either play Strachan full time or bring anyone in that's an upgrade.
We need to improve on Rob, but only by improving with younger players and targeting folks who can work with Thilthorpe.

Rucks are the most overrated position on the ground. Match someone with Filthy who also works as another mid/forward.

In the meantime, Rob is fine. There's maybe six to eight genuinely good rucks in the comp and the rest are Rob's level or worse. His kicking looks terrible but mostly does what it needs.

When you watch a quality ruckman like Gawn he is a huge asset as he actually puts the ball right where his midfielders want the ball - ROB wins his fair share of hitouts but it is very rarely right where OUR midfielders want it.

As much as we go on about our lack of midfield quality the players we do have are not advantaged by ROB competing the ball ups very often.

Max Gawn is the worst kick in the AFL. Gawn makes ROB look like Jordan Dawson when he kicks
Geezuz… massive overreach there..

Gawn is miles ahead of ROB.

ROB kicks like a 6 year old Auskicker who’s just learning to play the game..

Worst kicking action in the comp by a long margin.
