No. While it might look reasonable to a random poster, it doesn't to an Adelaide supporter.

We don't need Poulter and he would take up a list spot. We need something we can put towards something that we actually want, rather than have something foisted upon us.
We don't need a tall athletic outside running mid/winger?

I don't care about the VFL stats: Collingwood have gone a lot better this year without him in the side.
Yeah no doubt that's all down to Caleb Poulter.

What a ridiculous assertion.

Re: Poulter. Aren't we more about getting picks and points to accumulate for MM and picking Keeler? And if we still have a high-ish pick after trading for Rankine, won't that go on a mid? Can't see why we would trade in a player that hasn't proved himself at his current club and would be way back in the line behind the many young developing mids already in our squad.

Not even. We're about opening up list spots to even be able to use our first round pick/Rankine at this point.

This is not a year where we'll be going deep in this draft, or need to be scrounging for collateral.

Where has this Keeler talk come from other than on this board and the fact he's an NGA.

I don't think we'd be absolutely certain to be taking Michalanney if the bid comes in before where our recruiting team rate him either?

Keeler is a highly rated ruck/forward from SA, we need one on our list.

Not if it costs a 1st round pick...

I'd much rather look at SA lads like Will Verrall and possibly Phoenix Foster late/rookie if Keeler is too expensive.

Pretty sure our plan would be keeping pick 5, so not sure how we would even have a late first for Keeler. If we hold our 2nd pick and he's there then he may be a good option.

Talking role only, Worrell is far more suited to the 3rd tall than Doedee. Not as proven a player but far better suited. Take the Carlton game - Worrell did a great job when caught one on one with McKay and DeKonig- Tom is completely out of his depth due to size in those match ups

worrell is the 2nd tall doedee third

Depending on other list movements I’d give Poulter a crack. Seedsman unfortunately may be done.. a young wing on the list isn’t the worst idea. Will only be 20 next season. I thought he showed a bit last year as an 18yr old in the AFL side.
Has good numbers in the VFL - I liked him in his draft year.

Yeah I'd be happy to pick him up if we could find a list spot, I thought he looked pretty promising in the games I saw him play in his first season.

Worrell a better footballer than Doedee?

Settle down, I've been a Worrell fan long before we drafted him but he's got a way to go before that occurs.
Let’s revisit this at the bye next season. Doedee was poor in the latter half of this season - we’ll find out how much that was influenced by injury (hopefully a lot). It is possible, not likely, that Doedee may have plateaued as a player. Or, maybe by the bye next season Doedee will be in AA contention and Worrell will be languishing in the reserves? Who knows.

What I do know is that Worrell looked absolutely amazing at senior level in 2022 when FINALLY given a chance (especially for such an inexperienced player), and he just has so many more weapons at his disposal than Tom. Height, speed, poise, balance, decision making, plus a long, penetrating and accurate kick - all clear advantages over Doedee. Doedee is a great intercept mark and one of the most courageous players at the club (if not the most courageous), there’s no doubting that.

So yes, I think Worrell is a better overall footballer (I’d go as far to say that he’s right in the conversation with Rachele and Soligo as the most exciting youngsters at the club), who is nowhere near his peak yet. I genuinely hope Doedee can regain the form that had him firmly in the discussion to be the next captain of the club and that they can be part of the same backline for however long Doedee remains at the club.

Roo = Mihocek

Dusty is Dusty but degoey has very similar x factor and hurt factor

Cotchin = pendels

Rance = Moore

Small fwds / mids who kick goals and pressure = Elliot / Ginivan

Their lists / pressure are very very similar
Not really.

They're not at that level that Richmond managed to start switching on in late 2017.

I think you're underrating Martin's influence quite a bit.

Think you're being tough on Doedee, measuring his poor 2022 v a few Worrell games

Let's correct you on a couple of points ....of Worrell's attributes you've slated, I'm afraid, poise and long accurate kicks is not .....at this point in time

Too often he grabbed the ball and kicked long, without regard for the player, next link in the chain .....so off the boot it looked long and accurate, but it wasn't to the advantage of the next player .....or kicked to the next player

Understandable though for a player in his early games .....he'll improve that

Doedee has been living off the idea of him that was formed in his debut season for some time now. Bad in the contest, and non-damaging with the ball. Performance does not match hype, and he seems only capable of playing a position best used for developing young players who can go on into other spots as a third tall.

He's a player a good club would identify as perfect trade capital.

I think the knee and other injuries have cost him some of the agility which was once his strength.

I tend to agree with a few others that although Worrell has the height for KPD, I’m not sure he’s cut from the same cloth as say Murray or Butts. Doesn’t have that 1-1 physicality. Could potentially develop into that for sure, but for the moment he’s a VERY good hybrid player for us, almost like a sweeper in soccer.

The big question is whether we’re too tall/slow/cumbersome down back with all of Butts, Murray, Worrell and Doedee?
