I don't think anyone is hating on Doedee? We're saying he has value, he's a great leader but that's the kind of thing you're going to have to give up to get Rankine and JHF in the door with limited draft capital.

We all know JHF is not happening. I don't think anyone thinks it's a realistic scenario?
I think the best we can do is help North push up the price Port need to pay, which I am all for.

What’s this board’s weird obsession with hating on Doedee? Yes, he’s taking a little longer to find form and confidence after his ACL, but we have short memories if we don’t know the player he can and will be.
I don't think anyone is hating on Thomas.

More so, he hits that sweet spot with trade value. Obvious quality with some value against a position we look to have some coverage.

No hate, just possibilities.

We're also not getting JHF.

Acceptance will come for those still struggling with the concept.

Our own CEO even sent an email saying he's going to Port
get in line

:north::westcoast::gws::essendon: all are thinking the same thing no doubt
yes except if one takes him they cant take rankine too
so he should be walked to psd as well

WBD threatening to send Dunkley to the PSD.

Was considering Port as an option prior to nominating Lions.

We’ll take him!!
Mate we’re still negotiating a deal 6 weeks in the making how do you think our boy Reidy will go with last minute curve balls? He’s probably not seen the update anyway has probably left for the day it is 2pm after all.

Collingwood winger Caleb Poulter is still without a contract for 2023 in what his manager Tom McConville describes as a “not ideal” situation.

Poulter played 11 games in his debut season in 2021, after he was taken with pick 30 in the 2020 draft.

But the 19-year-old struggled for game time this year as the Pies rocketed up the ladder, only featuring once in 2022.

Poulter’s lack of game time has left him in a precarious position during the ongoing period, with Mac’s Sports Promotions’ McConville saying his priority was ensuring his client was playing regular senior football in 2023.

“It is an interesting position for him to be in at the moment,” he said on AFL Trade Radio’s Trade Exchange.

“It’s not ideal to get to this stage of the year and not have a contract there, Collingwood is doing a lot it seems (in the trade period) and trying to bring a few people in.

“He’s in the position where he showed a lot in his first year, then probably found it hard this year behind (Josh) Daicos and (Steele) Sidebottom.

“We’re just waiting on that one, our priority is to have him playing league footy next year. Whether it’s at Collingwood or wherever, he’s hellbent on being on a list.

“We’ve had a few conversations with a few people, It’s not too concrete at this stage and there’s a lot to play out. We’re waiting by the phone and seeing what comes of it.”

Poulter has been linked back with a move to his home state of South Australia, with Channel 7 Adelaide reporting that the Crows had shown some level of interest.

It'll be a last minute or DFA job

Adrian Barich also said West Coast are interested in Matt Crouch.

‘Might’ as if he had info, or ‘might’ as in he’s just thinking of random destinations that might suit?
Sorted sounded like he knew something, he then spoke with Adrian Barich who didn't dismiss it. Redden calling it quits might have opened the door. Really, they would be a good fit for them, they haven't loaded up on young talent they need to play yet

Probably Crouch's management who started that rumour. But who did we think were possible suitors??

We should swap him for Whitfield & pick up some of his salary.

Fixes GWS cap issue.

Richmond don't get Hopper.

Agree it makes sense. Their engine room is farked as it currently stands, particularly with Shuey and Yeo now injury-prone

my post had no hate aimed at Doedee it was purely to point out to bring in someone such as the Horne [which we won't] or any other of his level we must get over "keeping" everyone we like - we can't offer up spuds that can't get a game in a bottom 4 side and hope to spark interest.

Rowey is saying West Coast might be one of the interested clubs in Crouch
I've been saying that for 4 weeks ......this is what happens when you're a nobody on a forum .....no-one listens
