Ratugolea wants to head to Port Adelaide

By Peter Ryan

Clubs in pursuit of Geelong big man Esava Ratugolea have been made aware that the 24-year-old would like to get to Port Adelaide during this trade period.

Port and Geelong haggling over trade price before Port reach into their lunch bag "hey where did 1st round compensation pick come from? um here you go cats".

If Port seriously want to end up with JHF, Rioli and Ratugolea in this one trade period they have to move some players - there is just no other way around it.

Bergman, Sinn, Duursma, Georgiades - one of them at least would need to be included somewhere. Bonner is a complete steak knives player if there has ever been one. Clubs would take him sure but nobody is actually trying to recruit him to their clubs

Let's say Poort finally grow up and get this trade over the line. Pick 2 and another top ten/ plus player or whatever.
two questions for those ITK.

  • Do GWS have a specific draft target?
  • What picks are they likely to be sitting on when this is all said and done?

Port's future first potentially involved in the Esava trade?

Ratugolea + 7 for PA 2023 1st and change

7+8+player to us?

Yeah I was just thinking that. If it’s 7+8 I’d imagine that’d be it. We’d take Busslinger and best available mid you’d imagine.

Orrrr… 8 is split to the Lions for Dunkers and we seek a pick in the teens for a Cowan and more 23 draft capital.

Now with Ratu also stating he wants to go to PA (I am sure Kock must have been in his ear as well), it is time we shut the door on any further discussions around JHF.

Tell them to f-off, we are keeping him and will entertain discussions this time next year with all clubs if he still wants out.

Sick and tired of Port stuffing us around with absolutely nothing to offer.

I think Clarko, said he wanted to add 3-4 mature players.
We got 2, who is no.3? A mature tall forward is a need (even if it is just depth) but can't think of any options?
