Why would we commit to bringing in a bloke for only 1 year? Seems ludicrous to me. We're not a halfway house where players can pass through on the way to other clubs.

It seems like a no lose situation. We bring a gun player in for a pick that is usually not worth much at all. We then have 12 months to convince them to stay or we add a fourth top 25 pick in a very deep 2023 draft.
