CCJ is a better Mark around the ground. He was incredibly unfit. Rucks don’t need to win hit outs. Rucks need to mark the pill. Xerri is also undisciplined.

CCJ is better to have in the team than Xerri. However, its arguin over nothing really because both have been sub par.

CCJ’s ceiling is higher.
X was much more disciplined this year than previously, other than that I pretty much agree. CCJ needs to move better and X needs a hand transplant.

some people are just hard to please....

Haha not really.

See how the Celtics handled trading the number 1 pick in 2017.

Generated interest in who could be selected at pick 1.

Read the lay of the land.

Committed to who they wanted.

Obtained future asset with considerable value.

Executed perfectly.

Would love to change pick 40 + 43 into 21/Clarke with Dunkley/Henry through PSD.

But I have a feeling Dunkley + Henry get to there clubs, and Brady goes home at midday.

Or if he's still there at 6pm, I fear for our pick 3.

Good point.

The game changer is the now clear fact that we didn't hold the leverage that many of us assumed we did. The fallback position of holding him to his contract if the price wasn't right didn't exist. Internally, Rawlings and co knew it, and so did Port.

It changed the dynamic from 'they need to pay up or we keep him', to 'we need to take what's on offer'.

We were disadvantaged through no fault of our own.
I suspect that was obvious a fair way out. If we Bigfooty plebs knew jhf was too toxic to take back, port absolutely had to know. Killed our bargaining position.

I’m (as always) slightly to the glass-half-full side here. 2 + f1 for the 🐍 is about right, and we had to take moderate unders on 1 to make it happen. But if the cadman situation is as suspected, using 1 to make the 🐍 happen is the no-brainer move, even for modest returns. Can view 2 & 3 as being more than the sum of the parts, and we have a DEATH RIDE and a Heel to enjoy next year.

I think the saints were keen when they thought they were getting degoey, it all change after t

Not happening unless the Saints fold late.

Still ordinary. Honestly, when you have as much leverage as we did, we still made a poor return. We are a pick in the 10-15 range short of what we should’ve received, minimum.

The way Judas turned toxic took away any leverage as there’s no way he would have fit in with the rest of the playing group.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
