Are we changing our focus from football to housing for the aged and infirm?

Media being lazy and linking every geriatric they can to us.

I doubt Clarko’s mention of a couple senior bodies had Dan Hannebery’s name in mind.

Hope these rumours and just rumours…
Why would we follow the St Kilda blueprint for success (or lack thereof)
it's different to st kilda

they had no good young mids outside Steele and needed the experienced guys they recruited to play key roles

our midfield foundation is already in place. we're just looking for some experienced, hardened bodies to, one, give our younger guys a bit of protection, but two, and this is more important IMO, help us actually be competitive, even get a few wins. Seriously, getting smashed week in, week out, does nothing for nobody - not our young players, not the club, the fans, the game etc

Yeah I was being a little facetious. I do think we need some more experience too, I’m just concerned we are going after the wrong types e.g Shiels Hannebery. I’d love to see us add 2-3 trade or free agents targets in the 25-30 age range that would make us a better team. I don’t want to see us in the bottom two again next year

New Coach + need for senior players + need for change = all players remotely available and relatively cheap will be linked to us.

We are 36 days from free agency opening.

Considering the level of flip flopping last week I can only imagine the level of speculation between now and anything actually happening in trade eon.

Anyone know much about Emerson Jeka at Hawthorn and how he stacked up in his draft year? Currently out of contract and might struggle for future opportunities with Lewis, Koschitzke, Gunston, DGB, CJ, Sicily, Blanck the other talls first selected in the side?

197cm, 96kg key position player. 20 yo drafted from the Western Jets. Kicked 23 goals in in 8 games last year in the VFL and has since been trialled as a key position defender this year?

Looks to have a really strong grab. Would allow either himself or Comben to play at CHB?

Looks really impressive in highlights and anyone still unsigned by this stage has to be worth looking into?

Might have some Clarko connection from their albeit brief time together?

Early in his draft year he was rated a top 10 pick but never put it together at the champs or at NAB league level.

Got trialled as a key defender because he is behind Lewis and Koschitzke. The void between his good and bad games is way too far apart for mine, has all the tools but just can’t seem to stick it altogether on a consistent basis.

If he got delisted he would be worth a rookie spot, that’s about it imo.

Fmd imagine being Josh Kelly and watching all your mates jump ship one by one leaving you holding the bag.

2 more seasons and they'll get a suns like draft rescue package dropped in their laps.
I’m sure he’ll console himself knowing he’s one of the games highest paid players, regardless of performance.
